Yep. Phillips links don’t make any sense. EH likes midfielders who can offer a bit of everything. KP is good as he is at what he does it always seems a bit 2D. Same reasons I’m never that struck on Rice TBH.

Game was done when he came on at WHU but played his part in at least one goal. Played well at Brentford when he came on at HT and helped turn the game. Just scored again for England so that’s 2 in 3 games this tournament so far.

Did against WHU and Brentford. Can play all 3 forward positions.

Kinda agree with most of this. Still think it be another box to box midfielder as next big addition not a dedicated winger. Maybe slightly more attacking in nature.

Where do we think De Gea will end up?

Not disagreeing with your overall point but looking at the fees for average players surely we should be pushing for more than £30m for ASM in the current market if there ever was a parting of the ways?

We’ll never know for sure but if you read my summary in this thread posted yesterday i feel it explains fairly simply what went on. Certainly had no one arguing against it.

I predicted around the £120m mark. Can’t see us going beyond £150m but it all means nothing. All about getting the right players not more/new players for the sake of it. Personally think we’ll sign one more £50-60m type player in midfield. Then some cheaper defensive cover in 1 or 2 positions.
