You didn’t miss much. Opposition looked sharper all over the pitch the 45 I saw. He still should’ve scored with the header and got a shot off with a better touch from the Wirtz through ball. What do you think we will do with him radically different?
-
I just reviewed his first half. It was you and others with the weird pile on. Ive asked you to contradict my observations and you were unable to. Was happy to leave it there
-
Exactly. You can’t. Stop being so precious about players having a poor half. It’s just a critique. Not writing off his career here Worst thing is you’re watching it! @Lush Vlad putting up a defence and not even watching the game
-
For me. Compare what I posted and you tell me what you saw when he was involved?
-
Which I’ve made clear for balance. This your first time reading?
-
So you breakdown his involvement that first half?
-
No bed wetting at all Just except when ha HAS got involved he was poor. End of story. Hope he has a great 2nd half. Ain’t watching it so can’t comment.
-
It’s not patience or impatience. It’s telling you what I’ve seen. Too many get precious about our own players. Remember when I was the only one critical of Isak and rating him a B still!
-
No you aren’t mis-reading… Min 1… weak in air gave away foul. Min 1-28 didn’t have a touch of ball except when put through he mis controlled the pass and a nice dummy. Min 35 approx missed a sitter with header from a great cross. Min 40 tried to dribble around a player and got dispossessed easily as was too slow. Min 40-45 lost another aerial challenge midfield. What involvement he’s had in the minimal moments has been poor.
-
Not really. Wirtz was good and I think he’s been awful every time I’ve seen him play before for Levekusen and Liverpool. Also haven’t singled him out but I’m watching him closely to give a critique of him not Germany as a whole. He’s been poor all half. Can quite happily break his contribution down if needed PS Not watching 2nd half though.
-
He’s had a stinker. Quite impressive whilst being involved so little
-
Take it you didn’t see the mis-controlled pass he received to put him through or the awful almost free header over the bar that he had to score? I agree he didn’t touch the ball until 28:15!

Some would say “simpler times…”

Behind the Leazes stand including the park potentially etc. Maybe even Barrack Road. Any land bang in the middle of city centre is sensitive. Look at the whiners going on about the Stack etc which is only temporary.
-
I know… something seems very off about all this.
-
Might need to as the FA don’t seem to be in a position to write one. Though their’s would be funnier judging by this…
-
Sounds like a FA shit show

Can anyone sum up what’s going on with the Paqueta case last few days? Getting fined by FA but they aren’t appealing not guilty decision? So why the fine? Am I picking this up wrong?

At the risk of repeating myself which i probably do far too many times already!… The club if the noises are to be believed are looking at some fairly sensitive land and unlike other grounds we are talking in the very heart of the city and like it or not there will be push back from certain quarters you suspect. So with that in mind the club are wanting to line up all the ducks and meet with all effected parties to come up with a resolution in private behind NDA’s. Knowing when they finally do announce the plans they will kick in as quickly as possible and all obstacles thrown in their way they’ll be ready for and can navigate easily. So in short the entirely opposite way to how Man Utd delivered theirs. I’d actually wouldn’t be surprised if we built ours quicker overall. I know the silence or perceived delays can be frustrating but they are with good reason I feel. The first being the diligence the Saudi’s operate. The second the fact Eales illness has possibly played some part. However the main one IMO was that they’ve clearly had their eyes opened to the event of the Cup Final Parade and realised 60K nowhere near enough nor likely is 65k and have revisited the plans to see if they can achieve something closer to 70K perhaps. Remember Eales was the one driving the smaller/no empty seat/high demand/high price thought process. He’s gone. CEO is weeks away it seems so lets see what his vision is for the club when he no doubts presents it on his arrival. The fact that he’s an ex Real Madrid guy would suggest it should be ambitious.

Agreed. Think from now until next window there will be a couple of senior appointments and at least some hints on the new stadium plans. Things are definitely going on in the background. Patience.
