Anything that doesn’t meet our conditions of sale is a cave in. We never know 100% the facts but it’s safe to assume 2 forwards in of suitable quality first is one of them. As for the fee condition always more doubt but you’d like to think it would be nearer £150m than it would be £110. The much rumoured incoming 2nd bid of £130m still short IMO and would need to include £10m in add ons if taking emotion from the situation.

Yep. Think thats a big overpay for a midfielder unproven in this division who in the small few times when I’ve seen him has been nullified quite easily. That and what did they get for Coutinho who did nothing of note after leaving them? Isak is proven 3x 20 goal per season striker in the division. £150m. Has his own flaws mainly durability but if they are rotating with Ekitke on occasions shouldn’t be an issue for them.

Agree with your preference 100% Regarding Gordon if what he give us on Monday is what makes the team function to its best then let’s spread the net further to attacking midfielders willing to press. Try and get goals by forcing mistakes rather than rely on our limited ability to create chances from central positions.

Thats never been the deal though? Why’s everyone wanting to accommodate Isak and Liverpool? Its 2 in for Isak to go? Disagree with Gordon being better than Wilson centrally. Would’ve had him over AG both games TBH.

I’ll always cut the club slack as they’ve bought a club to get a seat at the poker table but due to neglect we’ve had no chips to play in the game of PSR Poker with no players to trade. If I take you back to my thoughts on the Barnes transfer I said at the time that seemed an indulgence to Howe. Which after saving us and getting us a cup final and UCL within two seasons I’m not going to criticise the club doing their best for the manager. I never will. However after just signing Gordon in the same position (I still argue they had him down as a right winger on the documentary?!) with such limited PSR headroom it made no sense with regards to a strategic squad rebuild IMO. However football is never straightforward. Sometimes opportunity knocks to get a player a year in advance due to circumstances (Leicester’s relegation on this occasion) and as we’ve seen no one is bending over to sell us players so when one is available you grab them. However that £35m at that time would’ve probably been spent on the Wilson upgrade to bed in. Meanwhile I’m quite excited to see Osula get some proper game time next 3 games.
