  1. I would say his formula is more along the lines of: Are they at home? Do I like them? Are they in the top 4-6 (whatever it is now)? Are they total shite? You get 1 point for been at home -2 points if he doesn't like you +2 points if he does 0 if he's indifferant +3 if your in the top 4-6 (whatever) -2 if they are total shite. ----------------------- Newcastle v Everton Newcastle (home +1 / doesn't like -2 / not top 4-6 0 / Total = -1) Everton (away 0 / indiferant 0 / not top 4-6 0 / Total = 0) Everton Win ----------------------- Newcastle v Wigan Newcastle (home +1 / doesn't like -2 / not top 4-6 0 / Total = -1) Wigan (away 0 / indiferant 0 / total shite -2 / Total = -2) Newcastle Win
  2. Depends what you mean by "given a chance". Dropping players who are playing really well to accomodate someone who has been promised first team football isn't the kind of management I want at my club. He'll get his chance though, he's probably significantly better than Simpson and Taylor. But it should be when needed, not for the sake of keeping him happy. They don't have to be 'dropped' per say, it's just rotation, happens at most clubs. It just worries me that we're so reluctant to even slightly tweak the squad in fear of some massive breakdown. I obviosly don't know all of the details such as how he's getting on in training, but if all is well then just give him a game, see how he gets on.
  3. "Wonder kid" was surrounded by apostrophes for a reason like, it's subjective though and many a Inter fan were gutted when he left. But if you think we can keep him on the bench behind Taylor AND Simpson for long then I disagree, he would have no doubt been promised first team football when he signed, so if he ends up kicking up a fuss about not even been given a chance then he's entitled to (and he hasn't been given a chance, at all). Don't get is wrong, I don't expect (and wouldn't want) Raylor or Simpson just thrust out of the squad with Davide permanently taking there place from the off, but he needs to be getting minutes before he starts to wonder why he ever left Italy.
  4. Davide Santon has to come in at some point in the near future, you cannot realy keep a 'wonder kid' who left Inter looking for first team football on the bench for too long like.
  5. Newcastle have been good... BUT CAST YOUR MIND BACK TO THE WIGAN MATCH PEOPLE!!! THEY NEARLY NEVER WON THAT ONE! REMEMBER! What about Stoke Mar... BUT WIGAN!!! THEY NEARLY LOST MAN!!! AGAINST WIGAN!!! HAHAHAHA... And that is why I think Newcatsle will get beat on Saturday afternoon, because they JUST beat Wigan. Thank you ladies and gents, it's been a pleasure.
  6. Lazio HT/FT PSV HT/FT Besiktas £5 @ 10/1 EDIT: Are PSV taking the piss?
  7. Aye, it was a decent write-up to be honest, but "A)" and no mention of Tiote at all suggests that Stoke was the first game he's actualy watched us play this season.
  8. Nice one, fucking idiots.
  9. Which thread was that (if it still exists)? I fancy a chuckle
  10. Yeah i am always relieved when a player gets injured coming out of a good performance. One less player in a small squad with 4 tough games in the next month? Get the fuck in!!!!!! We're short in certain areas but right wing isn't one of them, and its only a very short term injury. Calling it a blessing in disguise does seem harsh, but it might not be that far from the truth IMO. Its not like we're going to be without Obertan for ages, just long enough to give two very talented players a little chance in the side. A player like Obertan would be of more use imo against City than either. Plus the obvious benefits of having a good player to come off the bench rather than a raw kid like Sammy say otherwise. Ben Arfa on form could do a lot more damage against City than Obertan ever could like, he's hardly lacking in the pace department either which is Obertans main outlet. There's all ways the worry that Ben Arfa isn't quite on the same wave length yet, but it's not exactly like Obertan has been the most consistant of performers this season.
  11. Ben Sheperd makes it fucking shit though because hes a cunt who knows fuck all about football. Its happened like 20 times this year where they're all getting along nicely and having a bit of a laugh and then Ben Sheperd asks a ridiculous questions thats either really irrelevant or just a bit weird and everyone else on the sofa is like 'errr riiiiight...................okaaaay'. http://img812.imageshack.us/img812/1580/90ad9322wtfareyoutalkin.jpg Kammys fucking class though. Aye Ben Sheperd is a mong on it like, I usualy forget it's on so it's pretty rare I catch it, but I remember him asking Barton some question along the lines of "but can you not see how your twitter response caused this?" which just seemed completely unneccesary at the time and came across as awkward. It's a football banter show not a fucking interview man.
  12. Dunno like, remember the last time the top two played each other this season? The away team won 6-1 I'd fucking take that like
  13. He has largely played on the left wing to be fair to the lad
  14. Feel a bit guilty like but i'm sort of selfishly glad that HBA or Marv should be getting a few starts now.
  15. 'cos he's a fucking shit manager with no alternative. If the scenario came around where he was not in a job, and a mid to lower PL team were without a manager, I honestly don't think he'd be shortlisted. No way anyone would seriously look at him like, not even relegation fodder. Fat Sam would even be within his right to critisise his playing ethics and squad selections.
  16. Cannot blame Pulis like, he's a shit manager doing things his way, and so far has managed to keep his job and Stoke as a mid-table side. Even with the money they've spent, that certainly wouldn't be garenteed under a differant manager. I do hope other sides watch what we did on Monday though and replicate it at the Britania, double up on the wingers and exploit there appauling 'fullbacks', time waste on throw ins and just generaly wind up Pulis and the crowd. Was lush tbh.
  17. He probably thinks it makes him sound like so ardent supporter, as opposed to the thick, bin raking queer he actualy apears to be.
  18. Aye, I actualy cannot get over how cassual it all seems to them
