  1. It's not just about the quality of player man, it's about effort, bravery, and fortune too. We'll never have a player cut from the same cloth as Wes Brown, or a Gardner even, but aslong as our Coloccini's and Cabaye's keep grafting their bollocks off we'll be alright.
  2. I love his body language on the pitch like, he seems to hold a Ronaldo-esque arrogance about himself but never seems to complain when things dont go his/our way.
  3. He looked excellent when given more of a free role like, something I hope Pardew takes note of and allows to happen more often (at home atleast). Best player on the pitch along with Santon.
  4. It's been said on here probably numerous times, but it really is suprising how hostile every one is over there. I don't think i've read a thread yet where someone hasn't been called a "mag kernt", told to fuck off, or an opposing player hasn't had death wished upon him and his family.
  5. Not the first time he's done it either
  6. Cheers Swansea. Level on points with 5th, that'll do.
  7. Danny Graham getting a cheeky kiss there.
  8. I do like Swansea. Which is quite annoying as I really wanted to hate them.
  9. Surely the title should be 'Ray Wilkins, my word.'
  10. Was weird like, it was as if he just thought "fuck it" and started telling players to just do what they want. As mad as it was this is pretty promosing stuff tbh.
  11. The only thing people are complaining about with regards to Pardew is his decision to constantly bench Ben Arfa, again it proved to be a daft move today. I'm pretty sure everyone realises the limitations we have, but still to suggest this squad of players are punching above their weight to be where they are in the league is fucking ludicrous when half of the league suffers from the exact same problem, Stoke are comfortably in 8th man.
  12. This isn't the full story. I'm guessing you know that already though.
  13. FWIW he wasn't outstanding today by any means (neither was anyone else), he did display some moments of true quality though which should only become more frequent with more time on the pitch. And the reason he stands on the ball is because he can, i'm pretty sure every player in our squad wishes they were shown as much respect tbh
  14. Responding to the devil's advocate: we lose possession a lot more when we play long ball without him, which is generally the alternative to having him in the team Aye, this.
  15. The thing I don't get about him "giving the ball away" (which again he only did a few times) is that if he does infact decide to play the simple ball then some other twat will hoof it straight towards Shola, more often than not conceding possession. Without him and Santon today we would have been static.
  16. French puff. That Helguson kid though, there's a man who only goes to ground when he needs too.
  17. Nail on head. He must have only lost the ball about 3-4 times today tbh, probably no more than any other Newcastle player.
