I think people are over-rating Ben Arfa's 'wild streak' like. He isn't going to suddenly start missing training because he's rightfully praised after a good performance.

As Mick has said, the critisism is more down to the fact he is refusing to play Ben Arfa AND refusing to give him any praise. I doubt it is like it on the training pitch, but in the press he appears to be isolating him for whatever reason. Give him a few games and we'll see the rewards, if he starts getting too big for his boots THEN 'ground' him.

Nobody has suggested that NUFC players have no obligation to treat fans with respect, unless you genuinly believe that turning down a photograph with a complete stranger is disrespectful. If so fair enough.

I havn't said otherwise I've yet to see Simpson totally embarassed in the way I have Taylor, he's had poor games (especialy earlier on in the season) but there's never been any SWP/Sturridge moments where i'm thinking "Simpson, where the fuck are you?" about 7-8 times in 45 minutes. Ryan Taylor also has Jonas covering his arse (who had the gall to come inside once against Man City, leading to Richards having about 30 yards of space to the left of our box). Your last sentance is an opinion I disagree with. I've seen Santon play a handful of times and always on the left and he's shown nothing to suggest he is a better defender than Simpson.

/evades the obvious route No real reason to drop Simpson, he's far better defensively than Taylor, and tbh could very well be better than Santon too who we've seen very little of (and certainly not against any genuine threat). Has Taylor ever looked comfortable against a decent winger?
