Pope bombing up for a corner in the dying minutes. Just an orgy of men.

McT and JLintz would be a canny brutal midfield like. Proper power lifters.
-
Personally I hope we take them to the cleaners if it turns out to be the case.
-
It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if the lad we seen climbing out of the famous black people carrier was actually a stunt double, and the real Sven Botman was in Milan, signing a contract with Maldini as we speak.

We need to rapidly build a competitive squad otherwise it will only get harder to crack the top 4, whether or not we accomplish our goals is another story, but there's no real advantage to dragging it along. Next year will probably be about establishing ourselves as a proper club again, hopefully finishing above/alongside the likes of West Ham/Wolves. If that happens we'll be looking to bridge the gap between whoever is on the outside of the top 4 (Arsenal/Man Utd maybe).
-
Would be suprised if we weren't trying to crack the top 4 the season after next like. I doubt Trippier was so eagre to come here to see out a gradual build into the top 7

Just went to post this myself. really good vid
-
I'm not even sure what I would do to my arsehole if we get them.
-
We were in for both though, the initial plan seemed to be to replace both Schar and Lascelles but Schar (and Burn) bossing it negated any real point of us going for Carlos this summer.

How would some kind of insurance clause interact with FFP? Say we offer him a 4 year contract on good wages, but put in a clause that states if he has any health issues that prevent him from playing, we'll terminate his contract and instead he'll be paid a lump sum equivalent to what he would have gotten over the 4 year? Would that payment be taking into account or not? It seems like something could be done there anyway.

It's a good point like @Rich Even when fully fit Matip is preferred over Gomez, where as to a thick cunt like myself pairing VVD with a quicker CB makes sense - Klopp doesn't seem to think it's a massive issue. Allison is way ahead (alongside Pope) in his contributions outside the box as the graphs that have been out up on here show - so it's possible Howe is looking to replicate something similar. EDIT: They're also both right footed, so although CBs playing on their natural side seems smart it's obviously not a deal breaker either.
-
We need another CM like, it's similar to the Dubs situation in that Shelvey is fine but if he get's injured we're playing Longstaff (he improved a lot but he cannot maintain possession and knock the ball about like Shelvey - he seems more suited backing up one of the no.8 roles). I have near wet dreams of Eriksen pulling the strings there while Joelinton and Bruno run about like mad cunts.
-
Gerd Muller too? (Google) EDIT: Same world cup...
-
Seems too obvious to be right, but I might as well get it out the way
-
This is actually proper funny like, I've watched it about 20 times I'm like 70% convinced he's just flawlessly playing a character.
-
I unironically like him I would never actually watch his content but it's pretty obvious he's self-aware at this point. The best thing about him is all of the wannabe ITK accounts trying to take the piss out of him, as if he isn't raking it in doing something he loves whilst they're 40-odd year old, playing make-believe on the internet for zero financial gain.
-
You would have to be an absolute moron to not try and make yourself fuck loads of money from multi billion pound sports clubs if you could.
-
I think he'll persist with his 4-3-3 but I don't think Targett is a deal breaker for us playing 3 at the back if we need to like. If we do bring in DCL then him and Trippier could work pretty well you'd imagine.
-
Sarr does seem the obvious one yeah, cheap and a big improvement on paper - it just seems too obvious unless we're going to go big on someone like Diaby. I hope there's more in the Eriksen links too. ASM Wilson Sarr Joelinton Eriksen Bruno Targett Botman Schar Trippier Pope We're just needing backup to Schar and Wilson after that really.

Poor lad must feel like he's being pushed into an arranged marriage.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/football-italia.net/milan-miss-out-on-botman-to-newcastle-united/amp/ "Milan have reportedly lost out on Sven Botman, as LOSC finally convinced the defender to sign for Newcastle United. The centre-back had held firm as long as he could, having agreed personal terms with the Rossoneri, as well as favouring them for his career progress in both Serie A and the Champions League." honestly wouldn't be surprised if an Italian sanctioned movie is released in the next couple of years, in the vein of Dark Waters or Spotlight, following the months of 2022 in which a young, Dutch defender was forced to sign for Newcastle United. Maldini played by Matthew McConaughey.
-
A Joelinton that can play a bit more would cost about £80m, and I cannot think who it would be? If Howe can improve his decision making there's absolutely no reason for us to replace him in the first XI for quite a while.
