Chris Wood (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

Just seems mental to pay £25m for a striker if he plans on benching him. Don't get me wrong I hope we don't play both up top like. -

I'll talk about Mitrovic if I want to like fucking hell -

Mitrovic's all round play was good like even if his record was bad. If Howe wants to play 2 up top you want someone like Mitro alongside Wilson really, not Wood. -

TRon there are hundreds of forwards out there who could come in for £25m man. It's the job of our scouts to find them. -
No idea how much Ramsey has declined but I would be amazed if it was to a point where he's worse than Sean Longstaff
-
Gosens would be class like. Having him and Dummett both being flexible could be handy too as we can essentially switch from a 4 at the back to a 3 by tucking Dummet inside if Gosens starts left mid.

Again not seen anything to suggest this is the case at all like, it just seems like something we're jumping to. His passing range is probably no worse than Kante's anyway.
-
I don't even think he's necessarily a left sided centre mid, that's just where he's been playing. I cannot see any reason why Shelvey gets in ahead of the defence instead of him? Like watching Joelinton play I'm just not seeing what others are apparently seeing that suggests he needs to be the left of a centre 3? I think Shelvey needs to be on the right of a centre 3 if we insist on playing him as he can drift wide to find space. Like Longstaff was doing yesterday
-
If he has a few yards he can hit a raker of a longball but more often than not he just blind hoofs it without even looking.
-
I disagree that Joelinton isn't a central midfielder like. I think he clearlly is.
-
Is it too late to hire a decent scouting team? Like we would save a lot of money if we weren't so fixated on a handfull of players we're going to have to throw over £40m each on.
-
Surely we aren't going to pay £15m for Phil Jones

Was pointed out during his medical but he doesn't look particularly strong like. -
I mean he would have to move if we go 3 at the back as it's a completely different formation. Anyway we've been playing Shelvey infront of the back 4 which seems daft to me, Joelinton offers much more protection and is far better on the ball. If we brought a CDM in then they would probably slot in there though, but the more I think of it and the more I see Joelinton the more I feel we really need creativity in the middle more than someone to break up play.
-
Also this 'Startup' app is sexy as fuck. Not sure how Fraser would be tucking in but he cannot be worse than Shelvey. I know that is team is fucking terrible
-
Going 3 at the back seems obvious but like @TRon mentioned I'm not sure Howe is interested for some reason. We need like 4-5 players to walk into the side really but I do think an attacking fullback and an ungodly centre mid would be enough to atleast get us functioning.
-
Wonder if it's worth fucking Shelvey or Longstaff out of the side and playing this little cunt on the right side of a midfield 3? Obviously the other one needs replacing by a new midfielder.

Miguel Almirón (now playing for Atlanta United)
Hanshithispantz replied to Deuce's topic in Football
Very athletic and some decent players on the ball. Not sure why they're not clicking but if they do they could easily pick points up like. I know Man Utd are shite but Watford looked insane against them in patches before falling to pieces in the games following it. -
"Shelvey/Longstaff or Anita/Colback? Can’t believe I’m even saying it but Anita/Colback. At least they could run?" When life comes full circle.

Eh? I remember it being seen as an underwhelming signing until his debut against West Ham when he was insane. Never played like that since. I don't even think he was starting for them when they sold him?
-
I kna, like if he undersrand how triangles work he'll realise that he can bypass the 3 players infront of him and try his step overs against their CB
-
Surely he can be coached though? He doesn't even need to improve his ability or out, just literally pass the ball more
-
If I find out Mitro could be bought for less than £25m I'll probably keel owa.
