Yeah, I usually wouldn't mind if the punishment was sensible in the first place, but 6 games, even for Evans, is ridiculous. For Cisse it seems insane (and even more insane if it's extended to 7). Whoever is making these decisions needs hockling on.

I don't see how a longer ban is justified in any way really, a 3 game ban is already extensive and more than enough punishment for almost any wrongdoing on a football pitch. Adding extensions to this doesn't achieve anything, it just adds further separation from the elite clubs and the rest. Chelsea or Man City lose a player for 6 games and they can usually replace them with a suitable replacement, most of the rest of the league can't. Petty shit will happen on a football field, throwing extensive bans at people isn't the answer though.

That would be a good idea actually, instead of banning people for full games for innocuous shit, just give then a 45 minute ban.

Abeid was off balance and played a suicide ball back, that part was undoubtedly his fault and hopefully next time he'll just get rid of it instead of trying to find a man.
