  1. Jagielka is 100% certain to start tbf.
  2. He's actually managed to escape it. No way the venom of that Cardiff match will return in a hurry after the break. A half decent start to the season and it'll be back to the pre-Christmas mood, which is complete fucking madness.
  3. This is the first time in a long time we actually look like we may have a group of players who can actually work together. Potentially 4 of the front 6 have just lost out on the league title on the last day of the season (obviously the most important player of that is missing like.) The fact it isn't full of overhyped and 'undropable' egos is a good thing.
  4. Fucking Timber Joey, that's actually amazing.
  5. Don't slag off Portland Timbers, man! They have a bloke that cuts bits off a tree trunk behind the goal each time they score, maintaining that long-held tradition from when the FA laid down the laws of association football. Fucking hell, just googled this, absolutely creased. 'PORTLAND TIMBERS CUT THAT WOOD'
  6. "I'm sorry, Rio is it? But what exactly do you feel you can bring to this fine club, the Portland Timbers?"
  7. The thought of an MLS team turning down Rio Ferdinand is fairly hilarious like.
  8. A moment of feeling pure ecstasy for everyone who has any connection to the club followed by a lifetime of cherishing that memory and moment that they wouldn't swap for the world. I'd say it's a pretty big thing tbh. But aye, they only got £1m or whatever so why bother. It doesn't bother you that winning the league cup would barely register for most Man City fans while it would be one of the defining moments of our lifetime for most of us? It's pretty much the primary reason why I would never want us to sell out just to win.
  9. If we were to be taken over by someone who doesn't happen to be an absolute tosser, and who knows enough about football to recruit a talented manager and backs him, then I see no reason why we couldn't challenge for the league. Too many world class managers bust onto the scene to take clubs far above their station for me to believe it's impossible to happen to us.
  10. We probably would have finished 3rd and made the Champions League a couple of years ago if Pardew wasn't being an arsehole and refusing to play Ben Arfa for 1/3 of a season when he was blatantly fit and we were in desperate need for something up top. We spent less than £10m that season.
  11. He nearly knocked him out and then said he was a 'paintbrush striker' or some other nonesense out of sheer embarrassment.
  12. Buffon has never, in his entire life, said Andy Carroll will be "world class."
  13. Bunch of terrible, vaguely talented, attention seeking pricks. EDIT: that may be harsh.
  14. That sounds fucking RAWKy as hell that like, I know what I mean though, and it's not as dramatic as it sounds I don't think I just don't feel it any more, it's just miserable.
  15. I cannot possibly support us any longer under him, it just doesn't feel right.
  16. I think Welbeck's pretty much a dead cert tbh.
  17. Aye, don't really think there's any great argument for Carroll over Lambert this season but I'd prefer to see him there instead.
  18. Never known someone struggle so much with the word "might" like.
  19. Using the biggest stage in football to plan for the future. Get real. We have no chance of winning this. We might have a chance in 2016.
  20. "Liverpool then got two goals but with 10 men it was always going to be difficult" Just blatantly re-writing history and hoping no-one will notice.
  21. Didn't the Stoke tea lady think he was a cunt for storming out of that press conference too?
  22. We really didn't like. That's so wrong it's unbelievable like SanToon. We had an untested manager buying unproven players at market prices. We broke the transfer record for a proven player but we built towards that and loaned the money to do so. We built and built. Times have changed IMO. It's impossible to win a title through "gradual building" now That's the point though. I'd prefer we simply compete than unquestionably buy our way to league titles with a bottomless pit of Arabian oil money. We're doing nothing at the minute, we're simply irrelevant.
  23. I'd swap what we currently are now for anything. Cannot agree that we basically did what City are doing now though, it's not even close. On a reduced scale it is. We broke the transfer record FFS. All funded by our owner. What's different about it? Man City have spent hundreds of millions of pounds and, along with a few other clubs, are responsible for UEFA actually bringing in rules to try and prevent what they're doing. They can pretty much buy who they want, it's not even close, man.
  24. We'll be a non-entity for as long as Mike Ashley is here, so good luck with that. What?
