  1. Fucking pitiful like. Anita's the only one who looks like he doesn't want to make me cry.
  2. Getting rid of Mig when I get a spare transfer like.
  3. Doesn't matter.... they clearly had enough to win the game just got unlucky on the day and getting to the final is proof enough you don't spend 100s of millions to go far. I don't remember ever seeing Ferguson bitching getting to 3 finals in 4 years and winning one of them when he had Park Ji Sung and Giggs in midfield and nothing like the investment Moyes is asking for. As i said its just an excuse coaches use when they are out of their depth. Besides its their own problem.... if they want more WC players they shouldn't spend 102m on Jones, Anderson, Young, Zaha and Fellaini You've flew off the handle here as bit like Mole. I'm just saying, using a team who didn't win the Champions League as an example of how you don't need 5 world class players to win the champions league didn't really make much sense. It was throwaway comment, I know you don't need "5 world class players" to win the Champions League, or any other cup/competition.
  4. But they didn't win it, as they were beaten by the side who have "5 world class players"
  5. Swapped out Benteke for RvP, just because I could. Will probably reverse the change when the big man returns.
  6. Eh, they were beaten in the final by one of the teams Moyes mentioned
  7. Hate that shit , man. Don't get me wrong like, the bloke probably cares a lot, but it's fucking cringe worthy as owt.
  8. I see no problem in a player showing his frustration, I fucking hate yellow cards for petulance, unless it's repeated and/or well over the top. Talk to the player, tell him to calm down and if he doesn't accept the decision then book him, it cannot be that difficult. Slamming a ball on the ground in annoyance at a decision will sooner get you sent off than a blatant dive.
  9. If he was making noises then it was to to nudge Swansea into making a total net spend of about £10m during his time there, Pardew has spent about £15m during the same period, and he didn't even have to ask for it. I think he'd be alright.
  10. You have no idea whether or not he and Ashley could make a working relationship, non at all. You've looked at a few numbers and just went "he quit his last 2 jobs after about a year, and he spent 30m at Swansea, so he could never work with Ashley, never." Even if he did just stay a year with minimal spend there's a far better chance I'd enjoy that year more than I would under Pardew, which is something atleast. He does have form of making cup finals in these brief stints.
  11. The notion that you have to be a "Laudrop bum boy" to be slightly disturbed by any Newcastle fan not seeing Pardew binned for Laudrop as an exciting switch, man I would have been equally disgusted in the summer by anyone if they were slightly weary of sacking Shola Ameobi off for Eric Lamela.
  12. All the time mate. The home tie ended up looking OK for the closing stages of the game after we scored but we were lucky not to have conceded before then, we let them have the ball to attack us at will for nearly 3/4 of the match. I never meantioned anything about the first game, I thought we looked great especially in the first half and were obviously unlucky not to have taken the lead a couple of times. I preferred that mentality much more than I did the one at home. An all out attacking mentality at home when you are two goals down, but have the advantage of an away goal doesn't make much sense though. Especially if the team opposing has the quality of Benfica. I agree with Pardew's approach, but due to our personnel and his failings elsewhere, we didn't have ability or intelligence to play well enough on the counter while completely shutting them out. Still, it did work for all intents, and the introduction of a half-fit, slightly fat Hatem did change things. I never said that we should have went all out attack? We're definitely the only side I've ever seen go into the 2nd leg of a cup tie with the intention of sitting on a 2 goal deficit for 70 minutes, though.

  14. We did for about 20 minutes in the home leg, the other 70 was fucking pathetic.
  15. I'm proper baffled here like, the only time Obertan got a decent run in the side was in Europe, when Marveaux was also playing, Ben Arfa was injured, Gouffran was cup tied, and Remy was in France. Discounting all of that though, the question still remains "how did this game make it clear that Remy, Ben Arfa, Marv, and Gouffran are all ahead of Obertan", when Ben Arfa and Remy stayed on the bench, and Obertan actually made an appearance? Is this a wind up, because it's a good one if so
  16. What? Last year he was being played ahead of all them (well obviously not Remy), it seems Pardew has finally realised that he's shit. Obertan started about 3 games last year, what are you talking about?
  17. That double miss was fucking bad like Good take for his goad though, really hope it brings on a change in him, we need it.
  18. You probably didn't even read it, man. It doesn't just say that, that the cup competitions are just lower down our list of priotities, it says "the cup competitions are not a priority for the club. They are used to be able to look at our squad as a whole. The focus is on a top ten league place because the financial rewards are so great" How anyone can even try to spin that to anything other than "no interest in winning the cups" is beyond me. Sorry, don't think they're mutually exclusive like. It's editorializing and, at best, an uncharitable interpretation. and that would be a fantastic argument. People are actually defending what has been recorded though, which is fucking ludicrous. Who is? The thread is 4 pages long and was created a few hours ago, I'm guessing you've read it and you can come to your own conclusions of what people are doing. Again, call it whatever you want.

  21. Defending what? All I've seen is some countering the idea floated that it means we have 'No Interest Whatsoever In Winning Cups'. Call it what you want, it's the same people instantly taking an opposing view to anything negative said about the regime and their puppet. "The thread title is a bit misleading isn't it? The haven't said they have NO interest, just that they don't really have much of an interest, or something. THERE'S A DIFFERENCE. They're just being honest!"
  22. Met him out down Leeds; told him he was looking well for his age, he said "you too." I awkwardly walked away.
