Yohan Cabaye (now sporting coordinator at Paris Saint-Germain)

Are you serious here? How much more do need to hear? The guy didn't play, having travelled down there. Every report is that he said he "wasn't in the right mindset". How can you ever discuss anything football related if you don't think this much evidence is adequate? So how does that translate to him "refusing" to play? There's a huge difference between not wanting to play and flat out refusing to. If he did refuse to play he can fuck off. -

The Official Alan Pardew Excuses Thread

Ironically if we had any interest in actually doing something this season we should be hugely thankful that it is. We have 2 weeks to buy some players and not flog anyone (Cabaye is probably gone already), like what other clubs do. -
I hope it fucking sinks.

He may as well fucking lament Hughie Gallacher's sale to Chelsea too whist he's at it. -
"I jumped on the wrong flight home" I know he's be getting the coach like but so fuck.

2 players who will no doubt not be what we need at all. We also need more than 2 players.

It was that daft ball up to Cisse that was doing my head in. The rest of the team actually seemed like they were trying to keep the ball on the floor (and failing, bless them).

Kinnear whether a sideways step or a step down is at least another step in the right direction. It would be 1 down, 1 more to go.

If Cabaye goes we need a Song like defensive midfielder imo, with Marveaux ahead making things happen and Sissoko running about the midfield doing whatever the fuck it is he does. I thought a Sissoko, Cabaye & Anita midfield would be pretty vulnerable so I reckon a Sissoko, Marveaux & Anita midfield would be victimised in every single game. In reality Pardew will be erect at the thought of being able to start Jonas every game of the season again.

Yohan Cabaye (now sporting coordinator at Paris Saint-Germain)

Whilst Nolan had some good attributes, was a great leader and one of the biggest goal threats we have had in recent years I was often frustrated with feeling we were over ran and over exposed in midfield with him not having much of an engine and pushing forward so much. The irony of this now looking back was that even though back then it felt that Tiote was being left with so much to do, we also so the best of him with that partnership. I don’t have any doubt that Cabaye has the attributes to be a top player at a good club but given our set up, tactics and clueless manager we probably would have been better off with what Nolan could bring to the team Pretty much this. We peaked with mediocrity. -

I would prefer Cabaye in a select XI but I would swap the 2 now for the coming season under Pardew. -

Probably not in the long run, even after the 5th place finish, we'll just have to see what comes from the Cabaye cash. Nolan suits the ambitions of the club, as does the likes of Ryan Taylor, Jonas Gutierrez and Joey Barton. -

Even the first sentence is just regurgitated shit. Sick of reading this heart of a pea nonsense, especially when Samir Nasri is tearing us to fucking shreds 12 hours earlier. That side is full of mercenary cunts who genuinely look like they would die for the shirt, probably because they don't feel like their careers are being pissed away. -

The phone call was probably a 141 from Pardew speaking through the medium of an online soundboard. -

You don't completely drop your best central midfielder from the entire squad in place of Jonas Gutierrez because he's had his "head turned". Unless of course you're Alan Pardew. It's probably been an alcohol influenced order from above like. -

There is absolutely no evidence what-so-ever that he refused to play. -

Do we just expect players to not fuck us off when we have zero ambition? I cannot blame him, I don't necessarily respect him for it but I cannot blame him. On the flip side we've just been anal filsted by a bunch of over-payed divas.
