He's definitely a Rotherham fan. Any refs have to declare the clubs they support and can't ref them or their rivals. Mark Clattenburg and Michael Oliver are both Newcastle fans. Remember referee's will nit necessarily support there local teams, so they could easily fob it by saying they do. If a ref is from London he's likely to be supporting Liverpool or Man Utd but could say they support Arsenal etc. Aye i'm sure they would risk their career for that like.

I think Pardew seen what was happening and used the injury as an excuse to change things. He never just brought Ben Arfa on, he completely changed the set up.

It's not just about the quality of player man, it's about effort, bravery, and fortune too. We'll never have a player cut from the same cloth as Wes Brown, or a Gardner even, but aslong as our Coloccini's and Cabaye's keep grafting their bollocks off we'll be alright.

I love his body language on the pitch like, he seems to hold a Ronaldo-esque arrogance about himself but never seems to complain when things dont go his/our way.

He looked excellent when given more of a free role like, something I hope Pardew takes note of and allows to happen more often (at home atleast). Best player on the pitch along with Santon.

It's been said on here probably numerous times, but it really is suprising how hostile every one is over there. I don't think i've read a thread yet where someone hasn't been called a "mag kernt", told to fuck off, or an opposing player hasn't had death wished upon him and his family.
