  3. What the hell is it with Sky this season naming games like Arsenal Vs Man Utd "ReUnited". What the hell is it meant to mean for a start? They done it a few weeks ago with Liverpool/Man Utd and called the whole day "Red Monday". They have got to be the most cringeworthy channel EVER. They try and make everything as dramatic as possible and it's just so cheesy.

The name "Swampfield" gives me a giggle every time i see this thread.
  15. Hype. Granted, it is remarkable how reputable, switched-on managers like Pochettino still fall for it, but when £30m represents slightly more than pocket change for English CL clubs, signings like this will continue to happen. Its still 16% of Tottenham's total revenue last year. Remove all the normal expenses (wages ect) and its pretty much everything they had. No doubt in the coming year revenue will increase again, they can certainly afford it, but its still going to be a significant chunk of their cash flow. Aye but not to worry, if they only have him for this season they only owe us £6M.
  16. Cracking read that. So refreshing from what we're used to.

How many years was he here?
  18. That's because all the media etc are depicting this as a more difficult game than any we have faced which is not strictly true ; what IS true is that we are playing a team against whom there has always been a degree of niggle at a time when they are showing some good form...and we are away from home too. My only concerns surround our own side and whether they have the bottle and collective grit to overcome the obvious disadvantages after they have become used to steamrollering previous opponents - the fact is that if both sides play to their true capabilities, we should narrowly win...if not, and we play below par, we could lose. The longer we keep a clean sheet, the more likely we are to win..an early goal for them will get their tails up. An interesting scenario - normally, I wouldn't worry too much about a defeat after so many wins but in this case, I want to see NUFC ram Monk's words down his throat... What words were they?
