We definitely need to work on performances over the international break. The first 20 minutes of the game today was the NUFC of 2 seasons ago, but the stoppage for the linesman seemed to completely derail us. I think it's a combination of certain platers not really having a full pre season, some players just generally not playing well (yet) and I've said this a few times, the fact we have Burn and Krafth playing centre half. The pair of them can't play out from the back and add to that Pope is shite at kicking. As soon as any of those 3 pick it up, teams press knowing fine well we're probably going to panic and go long or down the wing and 9 times out of 10 we lose the ball and are under pressure again. Which is why we always seem to be sitting back and defending. That last point is the main 1 for me. Can't wait to see Schar back against Wolves.

Be nice to get some answers after the spurs game and then for everyone to draw a line under it and move on. I think it's obvious they have great ambitions for us, but the rules in place may have slowed things down a bit so it may take longer. That's basically what Howe said yesterday. People questioning their ambition based on 1 bad transfer window stinks of toys out the pram. Remember, the players that were identified, we failed to get. PIF don't identify the players or negotiate the purchase of these players. They basically just sign the cheque. If the people put in charge of recruitment have failed in their attempts with all players identified, I fail to see how this is PIF's fault and why people are questioning them.

Some people just make their own mind up and ignore what they don't want to hear/read.

Canny article from Puke to be fair to him. Only thing I'll say now is leys forget this transfer window, concentrate on the season, learn from these mistakes and hopefully see some incomings in January.

Well for starters Howe himself said he liked Thiaw very much. He was asked about him in 1 of the pre season press conferences. So there's another option Mitchell had. Not to mention Tosin who we were after before Mitchell arrived. The club have failed to deliver all 3. It seems Eddie had more than 1 on his list so Hope can fuck off the shit stirring arsehole. Its the club that have failed here, not Howe. And to add to that, those 3 are just the names we know of.
