Our central midfield is many things I think, and some of them are hard to break down, very fluid, and strong passers of the ball. What we need is someone to break loose from midfield area when it's congested and run with the ball. I don't really trust either tiote or cabaye to do it as they aren't really that fast.

Just wish we had some kind of Dyer-esque player in the mix, a player like that would really set our team alight, with blistering pace going trough the middle, linking left and right. Think about the counter attacks we could've done!

Really think this formation can be a blessing for Obertan, really think he can be an asset on the left hand side cutting inwards and mixing it up with HBA and Cabaye. He allways saw for that opportunity to go inside earlier in the season. Aswell as he got somekind of footballing brain and he seems to be clever with some of the things he does. He just seems scared to fail miserably. Remember, this transfer pretty much was tail between legs for him, and if he can't succeed to atleast be a part of the first team squad here he has failed.

I do bet all the players that's still here of them who went down with us are really appriciating our form, and are by no means taking it for granted. And if the gaffer tells them to do a job in an unfamiliar position they will, as they know it's ten times better then struggling down there.

Ba played more in the center today then Papiss, atleast when both of them were on the field together. He looked rather frustrated of not getting chances, not getting the touch of the ball. And I can really see that as their nippy midfield trio just passed amongst themself and their defence.

Sahin out of favour in real? Loan with option to buy ala ben arfa? anyone?

The last year or so we have only focused on the offensive part of our play. Bringing in Cabaye, Hba, Ba, Cisse, Obertan, marveaux, and santon wich seems to me like he wasn't supposed to be a starter this year at all? Next season I want more focus on the defence as it needs rewamping to build up under that attack. We need to start our attacks from the back and it has to show. Far to often we just lump it forwards. With santon behind hba I really think we could see some sexyness on the right hand side overlapping and small passes slicing trough butter style. But he really need to sort out his defensive issues if that is going to happen. Playing behind HBA sure is some work.

his positioning during first half against bellamy was a disaster. Would much rather have a left back who were more sound defensively and push jonas to that CM spot or left winger spot. The sad thing about this new formation is that Jonas best position is scrapped away but he is a professional and quite versitile player so should be playing quite good in either of the three positions.
