Dreadful the way we treat certain players. So badly managed, it's incredible. He had one poor game away to West Ham, don't think McClaren has forgiven him since.
-
Some strange reason he seemed to gain confidence after his mistake if anything. Actually did nothing wrong after that calamity, which was about his 5th in the game to that point.

'We stood toe to toe with West Brom, dealing with all the crosses and balls into the box, I thought we did ever so well' Ffs, how we ended up with this.
-
Sounds like bollocks to deflect attention IMO. Possibly but it's not really his place to be deciding when he's paying others to deal with those sort of footballing decisions. I think he'll just have them on a shit low budget.

Without banging on about Pardew, this was a situation I feared with another dross manager taking over and being in the exactly the same position, if not worse. McClaren hasn't got the cuntish attributes but he needs massive pressure on him to fuck off out this club tbh, take Colback with him as well. Ashley has pointed out the managerial position isn't something he really gets involved with so it must be the work of Charnley/Carr?

He must go or we are down, that simple. Even if they hadn't of scored, that was pathetic.

Fat cunt can't jump

Tbh, I agree with post. Maybe it's my fault for just accepting it from McClaren's point of view then thinking he hasn't made an outrageous decisions.
-
Can't really moan at McClren too much today, bar starting Colback as norm but you just accept that now. Felt sorry for De Jong but had to be Perez if it was one over the other. Saying that, Perez was rather ineffective today bar the fact he worked hard. Thought it was hard to make subs today, weren't really playing badly bar first 20 mins where Everton were class. Perez for Thauvin was pretty much all McClaren could have really done imo.
-
Definitely not, if you sign a player for a decent fee at the top of his game, he at least deserves a good run in the side to adapt and start performing. If he isn't, take him out, work on weaknesses then go back in again with another lengthy run in the side. Yanga was messed about so badly with us, infuriating. Fact he's not stepped up since leaving is irrelevant imo. I don't even think he had a bad spell at Roma judging off reports though.

Disgusting

Should be dropped for Isco

Would love him at the toon!

Local derby as well. Just picking the players that cost the most money. There's no team here, just individuals.
-
Reminds of when Cisse was in top form for us. Excellent movement and full of confidence.

A lot of this talk about De Jong with his pace and urgency is very similar to what I was reading from Arsenal fans about Ozil last season. Wenger wasting his money on a player not suited to the PL and not adapting to it. Now he's the top assister in Europe and Arsenal fans now loving him. I'm not saying De Jong is in Ozil's class but style of play is similar and needs pace/runners around him to be most effective along with linking up the teams play. He slotted Sissoko/Janmaat in a couple of times when they ran beyond him and that's what he needs but more of it. Perez should be in the team with him but if it's one or the other, Perez it should be as he's currently more suited to our style of play. Things just aren't going for De Jong at the minute. He was unlucky not to be on scoresheet last week after Cisse's cock up and he should have been on it again today but for a horrendous miss. At least he's popping up in the right areas and it's not by chance because he's very good at finding the space around the pitch. He'll not adapt to the league and gain confidence by sitting on the bench. McClaren needs to find a formation to get his best players on the pitch. At the moment, he's far off doing so.
-
And everything I started hating Pardew for, McClaren has basically continued? Where's the progression? Ashley once again has fucked up an appointment and I'm not prepared to back this shit joker! He had his chance early doors but it's the same mistakes, same players picked, same players dropped, except slightly more patient football. I want him out already, he's useless.
-
He also played, IIRC, everyone's choice of team against Watford and we still got ripped. Choice team? With Colback on the pitch, I doubt it!
-
He started Obertan over Aarons and Perez at the start of the season, man!! Get rid!
-
The team he selected wasn't good enough to put Villa to the sword, Mitro or no Mitro. Wiji and Sissoko as our wide men will never be creative enough at home consistently. McClaren hasn't got a clue and by selecting the same side showed he's scared to make big decisions and tactical changes. Anita off over Colback again summed up that we are in for a torrid time with him in charge.
-
People seem happy because we created a few chances against the worst side in the league. The team he selected was always going to make things tougher regardless of previous results.
-
Villa had more possession, more shots on goal, more shots on target and more corners etc....rock bottom, one of the worst point tallies at this point of the season, if not the worst...so yeah I think McClaren is to blame regardless if we should have scored at a crucial moment.
-
He can't keep playing LM, it's badly hampering us! But Colback's existence is killing everyone!
-
McClaren is to blame, he's a bottling clueless cunt! Same team was always going to make this twice as hard. Yes we got the first goal but it was hardly deserved, yes de Jong should have added a second but fucking hell, the lack of creativity is shocking. Wijnaldum, left mid? That needs abolished, asap! Regardless of his goal tally, he just disappears far too often. The left hand side is ongoing joke, even Hutton had free reign down that side, Alan Hutton ffs! Thauvin at least gave him a few troubles! Mitrovic was excellent with what he was provided with. He gave it his all when he came on, really don't understand why fans are quick to play him down.
-
Aye, more than likely but we've got wingers injured already and it's having no effect on our team because McClaren basically doesn't need them. Sissoko without jinxing him is absolutely fine on the injury front, pretty reliable. If we really need width, Thauvin would have had more playing time.
