Still beyond me how he gets so much praise and love from our fans. Sick of the sight of him me like, really wish he would fuck and take his average displays and ridiculous handball play acting with him. Blessing that Pardew doesn't need to make the decision of MYM or Taylor for CB and now MYM is centre back for next few games, he's a class above.

I'm glad Dummet is getting praise he deserves after his performance against City however to say he should now be ahead in the pecking order of one of Santon/Debuchy or even Haidara is plain ridiculous. Don't want to sound like i'm taking anything away from Dummet, he was one of a few positives other night but 45 minutes doesn't justify being ahead of them 3 just yet. He did a very solid job in the tricky situation he was put in, was very pleasing to see.

Manchester City vs. Newcastle United - 19/08/13 @ 8pm (Sky Sports 1)

Well not entirely so, Baines is one of the best attacking full backs in the league, very few like him and Marv was just thrown in at the deep end. If he had of been a regular starter, he might have adapted better, who knows? However to give him his first chance and one his main roles was to keep Baines quiet, was just a joke that was never going to end well for him personally. -

That was shambolic management from Pardew to put Marv on the wing and expect him to keep Baines quiet, got absolutely raped every time it went down that side. I think Marv can be a decent winger but when you give him a game in which to attack and not basically just defend an attacking fullback. But this is where our lack of attacking play comes in, if we had the ball and used it properly the idea would be to push them back. But at the time it was hoof and give them the ball to attack us. The system and players are sometimes right but the tactics are usually wrong. Oh agreed, it was to try and force them back, it was just criminal the way Marv was just left out to dry after that though. We had wanted him in the starting 11 from start of the season and i'm sure that was one of his first starts and he got mauled of Baines and confidence shot to pieces. -

I can't see us scoring but can't see us getting thrashed either, we will just have limited time on the ball and Man City will stroll to a comfortable victory, bit like Chelsea yesterday. And i wouldn't be too disappointed with that. -
Sure Pardew just gets the blame when every player hits poor form but when in good form the player gets all the praise, you've got to swing it both ways. Can't just decide when to hate Pardew then choose to ignore when he's done something well. He has a good relationship with the players, yes he does have a tendency to play them out of position but generally they have mainly been in there preferred position, Cabaye is no different, Cabaye gets away with murder on here for my liking. Beautiful player when he wants to be, but last season whether it was injuries, fitness or morale, he can only look to himself when his performances weren’t up to standard. He’s not the only one though.

Just new strikers all over the place, bar us, watching Seville/Madrid, they both sold their best striker but sure enough at least they replaced them with Bacca/Villa respectively. We act like theirs very few strikers in the world and the ones we want are always the most complicated to get done. Embarrassing.

quality-wise, no, nowhere near. in terms of character, motivation and energy we're miles behind sadly. It's like all our players are in purgatory, listlessly floating through a dense grey fog of ennui. Haven't seen much character, motivation or energy from Hull so far like. Well, I figure we're worse in those respects regardless. Certainly display less of it than a lot of so called "lesser sides". What a load of s**** man, we haven't even started our season yet, wait till tomorrow then judge our attributes in that regard. It's honestly been a malaise for a while, going into remission only for brief periods ever since the sacking of SBR. I doubt it's magically improved itself over our so-far s**** summer. Our character, motivation and energy couldn't have got much better the season before last with pretty much the same group of players?

Luiz is injured, Mata has been carrying a knock, no huge surprise there. Only decision he's basically made affecting ff is Lakaku or Torres.
-
I really like him, not watching todays game but think he is improving all the time.

This. Actually p*ssed at AVB. Not using him right and f***ing my FF. I did ask that question on here and whoever have answered it, didn't provide a satisfactory answer so i hauled him out of my team...thankfully.

I thought that, looking through their squad and it doesn't look too strong. You can really see them losing games on the the trot. Clarke will be first sacked because i took that bet last season. Nailed on. No Pardew jokes please. Clarke ?, not a bad shout. Pardew is only favourite because of JFK looming above imo. I think Hughes might be in a spot of bother if Stoke start terrible. That was last season, but because i was so far wide of the mark and he got praise across the land, i decided to keep my money in my pocket this year rather than epically fail two years running. Just my luck for him to balls his first game up. Aye Hughes will be gone sooner rather than later. Stoke need a complete revamp, he’s not the man to do it.

Thought we were doing alright myself but then two goals right before half time killed us. -

4 without reply would do the job so far. -
He's right Tsah, that is dreadful, take a break and come back after a few games, you never know, we might even have you excited again.

You know the difference between you and i, while you support keeping Pardew, alongside Ian W and Brett and others, which is fine as you are entitled to your views and i respect them. I dont call you lot sad b******s. You on the other hand are a rather unpleasant creature. Who i shall no longer interact with. You are a sad little person. He has a thing for me, also i noticed he's rather unpleasant to others too. It's easy to ignore such a thing than to fan its flames, would you not think ?. I think you two just completely ripped up Ian's peace treaty. That's what i think. Although that did escalate fairly quickly but it seems it's been on your mind for a while now

He's the antithesis of Kevin Keegan who would have bridled at the thought of calling other teams big clubs. The players back then used to say they went out onto the pitch feeling 10ft tall after a Keegan pre-match talk. It might not seem like much to some here but you can see it in the way we play, there's no joy or intent about it, we are usually going out against these teams hoping for the best but fearing the worst. That'll be why they all want to leave this summer, just as we we've been told, in every other post, since January. Hatem, Colo, all of our best players - desperate to be away from this negative and clueless manager.
-
So what? We've fluked 3 points because Cisse scored, no biggy. Move on to next game and watch it all unravel.
-
That geezer needs to try and support us. Worrying about the lies his club and media are telling imagine when he starts hearing JFK's and Pardew's s***? This is where we are just kind of in our own bubble though, thinking we are the only ones who should feel hard done by, other clubs have major problems as well, just on a bigger scale. Yes they are kicking up a fuss about lack of trophies over past 8 year or so and aren’t content with 4th but they have a good right not be. If we put in their position we would be exactly the same. They have got mug written across their foreheads, just the way we all have.

Sturridge has been injured all summer and only had one pre-season game which was against us behind closed doors a few days ago... I think he means in general, not just for the game the other night.
