  1. Love that gif everytime i see it
  2. I don't think he will be, he'll still be heavily involved throughout the season but he's by no means a gaurenteed starter. Remy takes his place on the left wing and he's not good enough to play in the middle with the standard of players we currently have.
  3. They will finish above us. You certainly have a lot of faith in Pardew. Answers on a postcard please for which of their players would get in our starting 11 side. I wouldn't even take Fat Sam back to replace Pardew. Carroll, Downing Remy Cisse Ben Arfa, which two are you swapping? Actually intrigued to see this answer. I'm actually swapping Jonas for Downing and either Remy or Cisse for Carroll. Why are we discounting Diame? Jonas isn't i our starting line up. Tiote, Cabaye, Sissoko....Remy Cisse Ben Arfa.......When all fully fit fairly obvious that's how we will be lining up. So now you can take your pick where Downing and Carroll are going. Discounting Diame meant i would actually have him, the only player in their 11 i would actually have because i do rate him. Wouldn't even consider anyone else. Stopped reading, genuinely. WUM. Venky, you're a good lad, really. But, that's s*** patter and you know it. Cut it out. forum police Calm down folks, i took Venky's comments in good spirits Just waiting for him to tell me who's getting bumped out of Remy, Cisse, Ben Arfa for his Carroll/Downing... p.s Venky you can just fold your hand...we all know your said players aren't good enough for our side

Clearly. So who does Jonas/Downing and Carroll replace in the team i mentioned? Which isn't rocket science to work out that basically is our best front 6 (Tiote/Anita arguement could come into play, i'll accept that's close).

  7. I'd take what Nolan achieved here over what Ben Arfa has achieved in his whole career personally. You have serious issues Jack.

  9. Nolan as an avatar when you have the likes of Ben Arfa at your own club. Just painful. Nothing against Nolan, he's just average. The fact he's never been capped in a failed English side speaks volumes to how good he actually is. West Ham won't finish above Newcastle, it's really that simple.
  10. They are all massively average bar maybe Carroll Separately, yes. Together they'll do a good job. To 12th or 13th yeah.... They were a few points off 8th last year with some bad injuries. They'll basically be nowhere near relegation which is something I'm envious of. These are just another club i'd happily wager anyone that we finish above of. Actually think they may finish a respectable 10th with this side but they will just hurt everyones eyes for the entire season with the dross football on show. Anyone who thinks we should be envious or fearful of West Ham may as well just give this season up.
  11. I've never been a huge admirer of Carroll, even when at us, happily saw him leave for 35 mill and never to return unless it was on the very cheap (not 17 mil or whatever big sam paid). Nolan/Barton are consistent but hardly going to set the place alight. You know what you'll get with them but they are both in their 30's. Downing and Jarvis are just your typical average English wingers, very inconsistent and limited in terms of natural footballing ability. Put them all together and they’ve just got a side to hit Carroll with and hope Nolan feeds on scraps inside of the box. Can safely say I won’t be tuning in to watch this side on Sky/BT many times during the season. Will be horrible and painful to watch imo.
  12. Looks pretty good That's a horrible side. I like diame however.
  13. Who's that with? Free money that.
  14. Bold statement to make, there's a few Taylor lovers on here. But i agree.
  15. Not sure where to put this as it may get brushed off as rubbish, so i'll pop it not worthy. Basically my brother was in the box with Jonas/Colo's family at the braga game. Got told that Cabaye isn't kicking up a fuss about leaving but he does want to leave and he would prefer a move to Monaco. Ben Arfa loves it here though and be surprised if he were to move. Colo and Tiote don't get on with each other and Colo doesn't feel he should be in the side, would prefer if he left the club, doesn't like the person he is on or off the pitch. Shola is also a big possibility of moving on but players greatly respect him, Shola would happily stay but club have told him he can leave. Random note Steven Taylor and Enrique are thick as pigs shit. Said something else about Jose but can’t remember exactly what it was. And everybody loves Tim Krul. That’s about it from what I recall.
  16. http://www.themag.co.uk/the-mag-articles/newcastle-united-dismiss-talk-of-scott-sinclair-transfer-via-mike-ashleys-news-service/ Thought it was. Jokers! Exclusively deny any interest... then exclusively reveal we are lining up a bid

We don't have any wingers. Jonas!
  18. Wasn't it SDN who rubbished the Sinclair rumours in the first place when Sky Bet suspended betting?
  19. I was talking about crucial for Pardew. If nothing looks like it has changed after a few games, then I can see him getting some major stick. I was talking to Brett. I don't think he'll get much stick at all, everyone's got their cheap seats and the expectations have been lowered. Agreed but with the fans already not looking forward to the start of the season, the players attitudes and confidence from last season and Pardew's tactics and managerial ability under real scrutiny from everyone, get off to a bad start and things will just go from bad to worse, get off to a good start and it will be interesting to see how and if we kick on from it. We don't need a result against Man City away, we just can't have a battering, come out of the game with our heads held high and take it from there. I've always maintained i'm no Pardew lover, i might want him gone myself if could trust Ashley to bring in someone better, but i really don't. So instead even though i've got my doubts about Pardew, i'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. With the way the home games early doors have panned out, a good start certainly isn't out of the question and i think that could give us a huge boost for the season to come.
  20. I bet you sneak in the ground for the last 5 minutes when the exits open, the rest of the match is pointless to you anyway. Naa, he seems more of a "Be in the ground by 1pm, pen in hand ready to fill in the teamsheet on the back page of the programme, scribbling down substitutions, bookings and all" type of guy. They always have a perpetual grin on their face at the ground and always seem as happy as a pig in s***. I'm in pub by 12.30pm kind of guy. Out after the match for 1 or 2 then head home if we lose, out for the duration if we win. Kind of how the Saturday 3pms work for me. No programmes and pens or any sneaky turnstile entrances during stoppage time
  21. My point is the fact Pardew set both games up to stop the other team, both sides were negative. The difference being was one we were on a torrid run with confidence low where nobody wanted to know and the other the players were in top 8/6 and like you say fired up for the fight. Pardew didn't really go into the game with a different manner against Liverpool or Man Utd, the target was to stop them playing and nick the odd goal ourselves, but both had very different outcomes. The reason Man Utd game was cracking was because Demba had a bit of individual brilliance, Cabaye scored from a set peice and we fluked a long ball for the 3rd, all the while i'm sure Ben Arfa sat on the bench and watched Ryan Taylor play right wing. The football itself wasn't anything to write home about but it got results, that's all we did but it was the confidence we had that got those results. Get early confidence back start of the season and we will ride on from there, a good start is crucial.
  22. Or when against Man Utd and we played to stop them and won 3-0? Wasn't pretty, was just a combust battling performance in tough conditions. Was hardly exciting from a pure football perspective but we all left the ground on cloud number 9, if you didn't, then there is some serious issues.
  23. I'm more of a results person than a performance person. I couldn't give a shit if we scraped or battled wins as long as we won. Nice football is great to watch but as long as i walk out the stadium with 3 points in the bag and things are working, like we did when we finished 5th, it wasn't pretty but results came, i'm happy for that. And I’d take it all over again. If you can gel both, that’s fantastic. Arsenal still arguably play some of the best passing football in the land when on top form but you don’t see many happy gooners around these days, they now just want trophies and results, if that means Wenger and his pretty football gone, so be it.
