  1. Attitude, commitment, passion...none of these should be questioned with this young lad. He absolutely loves it here and it's a joy to see a player with such pride. Cracking performance by him as well. Him and Wiji loved it out there tonight.
  2. Our support is tragic, like. Thauvin's career here is pretty much over now imo. He'll not recover from this. McClaren will be scared to use him incase crowd jump on him, Thauvin will be nervous as hell incase he makes a mistake. Not a good situation to be in.
  3. It's a bit of a shame when money doesn't become of an interest anymore in football. Transfer fees are getting way out of hand but it's easier to just turn a blind eye. I think Shelvey is a bit overpriced but that's expected given he's an England international, far worse transfer fees flying around. I've never been a big fan of his but he's a huge upgrade on Colback and at least you know what you'll get with him since he's been around a good while now. Good signing for us.
  4. Feel physically sick at that link from some cunty German jounro! Can't possibly be true...can it?
  5. He's already mentioning our bad luck, no doubt McClaren has him brainwashed already
  6. Not too bad. Know nothing about him, like. Read couple of articles from France on him and somehow he's went from being the next Henry to comparisons to Matuidi Prefer the Matuidi comparison as Rivière was likened to Henry and look how he's turned out.
  7. How much is this transfer costing? Is it bargain bucket stuff like Gouffran/Sissoko or we paying a hefty transfer fee?
  8. He'll love our fans, that's for sure.
  9. They're not pretty but they sure do know how to get results. Another 3 points for Atletico.
  10. Celta don't look half the side without Nolito. Time for Simeone to shut up shop and take the 1-0 and 3 points.
  11. Aye, not pleasing at all on the eye. Disappointed not to see Thomas involved tonight. Been class lately for them. He injured or on his way to the prem already
  12. Is it just me or Atletico boring to watch? When I watch them on sky always just seem to be in tight tactical affairs with them looking to win by the odd goal, usually 1-0.
  13. Think this will be his 6th defeat in 8 games Not true like. His record in La Liga is D, D, L, D, L Must have misheard the commentator. Mentioned 6 in 8, maybe it was winless?
  14. I don't blame Neville for taking the job. It was a huge challenge and fair play to him for taking it on but it was fairly obvious he'd end up getting embarrassed and that's the way it's turning out. His next move after this job will be critical. Be interesting to see if he's prepared to take big downgrade in club and give it a whirl or he waits (prays) for another high profiled job.
  15. What you basing this on? Since his introduction to the first team he's hardly put a foot wrong. From the radio sounded like he was one of our standout performers today and was hard done by to be withdrawn. He doesn't look good enough with the ball imo. He's better going forward than he is defending? He's comfortable and confident on the ball.
  16. Think this will be his 6th defeat in 8 games
  17. Neville could be back on sky before they've even found his full time replacement.
  18. No, I wasn't there yesterday. I was just talking in general as its been mentioned before in this thread about his attitude. I just think that's in his game/persona. Don't think it's because he doesn't care or doesn't want to be here or any of that. More disappointment in himself along with frustration with his team mates at lack of service. Plenty of players around who have a similar mentality. I can see where you're coming from because the actions you've mentioned are things I've seen him do myself previously. I just don't think it's lack of desire to win or something that should be scrutinised so badly.
  19. Its absolutely nothing to do with foreigners man. Its the fact that they're all s***, week in week out regardless of nationality. Aye but with likes of Mitrovic/Thauvin, they are young lads coming from abroad having to adapt to the league very quickly and a new lifestyle in general. There's no support from the fans if they don't hit the ground running. They're young, they're going to make mistakes, they're going to do certain things wrong or say the wrong things in the media. Our fans would have them shipped off back where they came from if given the chance. Fans moan when players don't come over and acknowledge their 'support' at final whistle and walk straight down tunnel. Yet when they do come over, they just get yelled to f*** off and w***** signs shown at them. When I was down at West Brom, Thauvin was first of a handful who came over and clapped. The abuse he got was a disgrace for the lad, he'd been on the pitch for about 5 minutes. This I agree with. Was embarrassing at the end yesterday. Half the fans sort of half-heartedly applauded them off, the other half seemed to want to abuse anyone they could. As if its the players fault the state the club is in. And don't get me started on "we want our money back." Can't put enough anguish at how grim that sounds. Feel sorry that you were there to witness it.
  20. From what I've seen, there's nothing there to suggest he doesn't want to be here or he doesn't give a shit. He puts his fair share of defensive work in but he isn't mobile enough to press centre backs very well. In regards to his body language and his shrugging, it's more through frustration of service. If he misses a chance, you can see he's hurt by it. If Costa isn't getting the pass or makes a mistake, you see him start stropping. Mitrovic is being judged here solely on goals rather than his overall performances, which is a bit of a shame. All the pressure shouldn't be focused on him being the 15-20 goal man, but fans for some reason have looked at his price tag and expect that. We've got a very talented young striker on our books who should be getting the utmost support and backing, yet our own fans are ridiculing him. It's wrong, very wrong.

  22. 'Bit shit, this kid' 'attitude diabolical' 'the White shola' It's no wonder McClaren is saying our fans are being 'very harsh'. He's not wrong, like. Dreadful support for foreigners in our side unless you're a fan favourite like Perez.

    Steve McClaren

I wasn't there but from what I gathered, he's basically referring to the chant 'You're not fit to wear the shirt' which was directed at Thauvin. I don't think he's wrong either, think it was very harsh.
  24. This will have put Thauvin back even further. McClaren will no doubt in his mind be thinking the fans don't want him on the pitch.
  25. Sorry, but both are absolute s***. There's no way any of them takes a dump over the other. Probably Carvajals best game this season. There's no huge difference but the money spent on Danilo, you'd expect a big upgrade. He isn't.
