It has to be said that whilst Bournemouth were a bunch of pathetic slugs playing to the referee, they did a great job of closing out space to us and defending with a good shape. We got in behind them once or twice but they forced us away from the penalty area everytime. Defensively, they were really solid even though we were also awful at moving the ball

It’s such a shame, I’ve always really liked him as a player but I think for both him and us, it’ll be a simple decision to part ways in the summer. For us, we’ll be looking for a consistent option that does the simple things right whilst also playing within Eddie’s system. For him, he’ll be looking at trying to play with the freedom he loves. It’s premature maybe to talk about it but I’d be surprised if he’s here in September

Disagree about Longstaff these days, he’s really improved in all areas

Great pass to Longstaff, other than that, all his crosses just floated into space where we didn’t have players making a run. I think that’s probably mostly down to ASM not looking at where people are but also partly down to people not making runs

Fair for the most part, I think I’d drop Botman to a 6 at most. Trippier can come up to a 6 because of that block on the line, despite his crossing being awful. The rest are all fair
