I actually thought his defensive work as good as we’ve seen from him. I wouldn’t be having a go against him but I just think fundamentally he’s not good at anticipating how other players move and I struggle to understand why he just waits for balls to come to him when an opposition player who’s behind him uses their strength and pace to get in front of him when he should be controlling the game most times

I think the ‘back to his old self’ comments are harsh like, teams are wise to crowding him out now and he’s getting less space. He’ll never have the trickery to beat people out wide and leave them for dead but his hold up play, his ability to cut in and his tracking back means we should be holding onto him. If he gets space on his left he’ll continue to be a threat too

In an attacking sense, he’s our weakest player every single game

I like Maxi but fuck me, his reading of the game and anticipation of where his teammates want the ball or the space they’re going to move into is shit. He’s also terrible at not using his body to come towards the ball, often teammates make a good pass to him but he just waits for it to come rather than moving towards it or putting his body in the way. It’s infuriating play. Also, if he’s not on his game then we’re essentially carrying him considering he doesn’t press like the rest of the team and chase back

He’s utter scum and likely a big part of why this has fallen apart. I obviously know fuck all about any of these people and anyone can be extremely unlucky and end up in an abusive relationship but I believe it’s far more common for people to end up in abusive relationships and stay in them when they’ve grown up with an abuser in the family. Hope that’s not the case here but whatever the situation her father is disgusting and Greenwood is vile, and any parent should be doing every single thing possible to support their daughter to get out of that relationship and make sure he faces consequences
