We need one but whether the club would sanction another signing while we are doing 'fine' with those we have is another matter.
-
This part is interesting though. Again, can't see Pardew rejecting a 6'4" defender.
-
Can't see us paying £8m for a 27yo centre-back, especially when we already have four.
-
Didn't see him complaining when he signed that huge contract.
-
I was wondering if Maarten Stekelenburg had retired to take over the U-17 side.
-
The one where Dummett got a daft red for? I see no mention of his tackle.
-
Probably like what Danishmag said, that his agent thinks he can make use of the Webster ruling. Unfortunately for him, he's ill-informed if he thinks he can get his client away that easily. Isnt the Webster thing for under 2 years on a contract or over 3 years into it? The whole story sounds a pile of s**** tbh seeing as it claimed his deal ran out in 18 months 3 years into a contract if you sign it before 28; two years if you sign it after 28. It's all moot anyway since it has been superseded by the Matuzalem ruling; you won't get a cheap release into the next lucrative contract at the expense of your club anymore. Sissoko has been here for 18 months and presumably his agent meant the Webster ruling in another 18 month's time.

My guess is (or in their heads) Ayoze for Ameobi Colback for Cabaye Cabella for HBA Probably a striker like Gomis, then that's it unless it's one out, one in. Not far off iyam. And that would be 40-50m in transfer fees, sign-on fees and wages over 5 years. Can't have us spending more on proper replacements or we'll be the next Portsmouth anarl.
-
As a deal by itself, there isn't much wrong in signing Ayoze. Ultimately, we will still need to replace Remy, Cabaye, Hatem with quality and not sub-par signings. Beyond that, we also need to sign at the very least, another striker and winger. And we have enough money in the bank to do all that, so failure to do so will not be acceptable. I'm not holding my breath though. The players we are strongly linked with tells you nothing has changed. Sign Ayoze, Colback, Cabella and maybe a couple more, and we would be almost done with the summer. Net spend of 15-20m and they will get bums on seats again.

He's only 20.

Their owner just lost half his fortune in a record divorce settlement like. Still filthy rich I suppose.
-
There will always be his supporters but those still sitting on the fence, how much more time do they need to come to a conclusion?
-
Promising signing, low fee, shopping outside France, is not Shola. Don't think anyone can complain much. My only hope is that this doesn't count towards the absolute minimal two first-team strikers that we need.
-
Woot? We ain't willing to even pay 2m euros?
-
Two other teams perfect for his style of play and challenging for trophies. Surely he can't be that thick to choose us instead.
-
Try both. Pardew will still be around after the two of them get the sack.
-
The WC doesn't start in more than three weeks so you need to wait a bit for him to get on the plane.
-
Doesn't mean a thing anyway. It will just be something arbitrary that they throw up. As if Pardew would be sacked if he finished 11th or 12th.
-
He probably bought Rodrigo and Andre Gomes (for €45m) from Benfica to show that he's serious about buying players. He's also closely associated with Jorge Mendes so it's highly likely the latter would be involved in Valencia's transfers.
-
Shame really. Gateshead were the better team. Their keeper was doing a fine job til then too.

Maddison doing one of those crap dives again.
