  1. I often wonder if a mangers instruction to 'reserve energy' is taken too litterely by players. Feels like this has been the instruction. And then that happens.
  2. Weird performance this half. Like someones turned the skill sliders down on our players.
  3. Thought that should have gone our way.
  4. What a gift their goal was man, ffs. Should be 0-0.
  5. We have to be one of the best sides that just gift goals.
  6. Can’t believe there wasn’t a better angle. Having said that, you’re being tugged backwards, Young, physics say you should have fallen down, not fucking fly forwards 😂
  7. Still not over that City performance. We were like a championship side playing them in a cup. Far too much respect given.
  8. We played with an aging, out of form 34 year old at right back. An underperforming Willock in midfield. And a goal keeper that was hanging up his gloves for us a few games ago. Add to that an out of form Fabian Schar at CB, and you quickly can see what Howe is working with. We're a fragile team, always have been. Everyone performing to their expected ability, or above (for some) and it's golden. But any slight wobble in one or more of our fringe players and things go south pretty quickly. Doing an outstanding job given what he's working with.
  9. Was really bad. You can't give a team like City confidence to their football.
  10. Eddie seems to have sent us out with the mentality of playing against the 22-23 Manchester City. What a waste of an opportunity.
  11. Been set up all wrong for this. Fucked it.
  12. Let's be honest, that defending was awful. I'm scoring that.
  13. In that quote masters is saying rules are still in place. No idea on the timeline, mind. (I'd assumed they had come after the ruling). The article (and subsequent ones) are saying they're all in the bin. Let's just see I guess.
  14. The bottom of the article reads: WHAT HAPPENED TODAY AND WHAT DOES IT MEAN? The panel returned its final verdict on the first challenge and found that the rules in their entirety were unlawful - effectively agreeing with City. There are various potential ramifications. The verdict effectively means that for three years the Premier League operated an APT system that was null and void. As a result, any club that saw a deal blocked or reduced in value during that period could sue. City will also seek payment of their costs. Combined with the Premier League costs, that figure could total around £20m. The same panel will now rule on the latest APT rules, voted through in November. Should they return a similar verdict, it could open the door for clubs like City and Newcastle to pen significantly higher deals with related parties. It would also pile pressure on the Premier League itself.
  15. Basically saying that although some rules were deemed to be unlawful it doesn't mean that the entire APT rulebook should be null and void. Though they said that before and now even the amended rules have been found to be unlawful. --- The 18-page final award, seen by Mail Sport, states: ‘In the First Partial Final Award it was declared that the APT Rules and Amended APT Rules were unlawful in three respects. ‘There now arises for decision the question whether those three respects can be severed from the remaining APT Rules so that those remaining APT Rules are valid and enforceable. ‘The three respects in which the APT Rules and Amended APT Rules were unlawful cannot be severed with the result that the APT Rules as a whole are void and unenforceable.’ ---

    The Other 18

    Sorely miss Jackson.
  17. He only cupped his ear, right? Hardly goading them is it.
  18. Strongest bench in the league, Liverpool? Genuinly know idea, always looks decent to me though.
