I fold! Big Al said the loss against Lisbon was the his toughest moment on the pitch. Especially because the opponent in the cup final was manageable. I still remember that moment. I actually thought to myself when Dyer was substituted: We can actually loose this...

    Shefki Kuqi

He always does...I love his attitude and you'll never see him jogging around the pitch looking totally disinterested a la Shola style! He's a model professional indeed and it will be shown. Someone mentioned that the club have never ever done a signing like this...hmmm what was Sibierski then? Exactly like this one! Good, I can accept that players have defects, as long as their work ethic is good. That's probably why I love Jonas.
  3. Bellamy is an idiot, but he's a fantastic striker. A workhorse and football intelligent. But he's too old now, and bunking him up with HBA and Ireland..That's risky business.

Agree! He looks like a man capable taking of taking on Samba.

    Shola Ameobi

Best grafts a lot more than Shola ever does and also played right side of midfield for a long period against Spurs to help the team. he spent a lot of time getting slagged off by other players for just standing on the right and doing no work at all. That's the problem with Best: He needs to fix his mentality. You see that he's capable to to some pretty fix things: The disallowed goal against Arse, the last goal against WH are both some very good finishing. The is that PL is so fast that you need to concentrate all the time. You cannot mote, because then you're inn offside, like he tends to be. Best was considered one of the hottest prospects when he was 17ish. I think it's the mental part that has is the explanation why he's not taken the step. Fix that, and we got a quality striker.

    Shola Ameobi

By the way, the game away against Arse, was probably one of the best games I've seen of him. And Zonal highlights his performance as one of the reason why we beat them. They in particular mentions his role as a 5th midfielder Also, if you see the MOD analysis of the game, they focus on Shola's possession play, which made it possible for us (together with Colo's passing skills) to play the ball out from defense, under pressure, without loosing it.

    Shola Ameobi

Of course, but there's much work Shola does on the field that's not appreciated and not that visible. His role as a holding attacker has been fantastic this season. He keeps the ball upfront long enough, which makes it possible for the midfield to move upwards in the field. It's essential that the attacker does not loose the ball in such situations, because this will create dangerous counterattacks. Nolan against City away, was an good example of how it shouldn't be done. Also, when we play better teams, Shola drops down to the midfield to support them. This is shitty work, and often not seen, but has to be done. Zonalmarking has written about what I've now mentioned, if you're interested.

    Shefki Kuqi

Hilarious! He could be the new Siberski. Kuqi probably sees this as his greatest opportunity/experience in his career and for that reason he will work his socks off. He will be proud as hell when pull on the famous jersey. And for that reason, combined with the fact that he's almost free, I welcome him. We've had enough players that couldn't care less about the club. Kuqi is not one of them.
  9. If we do our job the coming matches, WBA's result shouldn't matter. I will find it hard to be against Chris. He's the most lovable manager we've had, together with Sir Bobby. A true gentleman. I hope we secure our place as quickly as possible, so I can cheer on him

    Shefki Kuqi

When he gets on the pitch he just has to work hard. Thats all i'm expecting. Yup. Put himself about, be a nuisance, run into a few defenders, and try and keep the ball at the other sides end of the pitch when required. Agree. We might need him against Samba. We need some muscles to handle that beast.

So what do you think? Will he be handed the nr. 9 or nr 10. jersey?
  12. God damn it. Those astronomer got to pay more attention. Last time I counted, our solar systems consisted of NINE planets, not eight. http://img703.imageshack.us/img703/7413/planets2008.jpg

Wush you were shitting me. Really. Just got in from a s**** day at work to discover this. I have a bulge in my pants

    Shefki Kuqi

I got a positive feeling too. We got nothing to loose signing him. He's practically gratis

Routledge is a far better player than Kuqi, useless or not. Still, Routledge is a reserve. Routledge had to be loaned out. If not, Ireland wouldn't have been here. Thus we had to choose, and I'm pretty sure that you too want the latter and not the former in our squad.
  16. Punk77

    Shefki Kuqi

There's no logic involved, it's moronic. I think Routledge was offloaded to partfinance Ireland's salary. Tbf: Routledge is useless. He's proven again and again that he is no PL-player. Midfield is not our concern right now, we need attackers.
  17. You have not one empirical foundation to support your claim. If Enrique is sold, it's because the lad wants to move cl-club so he can push for a spot on the Spanish team. Remember that NUFCs value correlates with the player base. If Enrique is sold, sure MA will cash in some money, but the club will also be less worth if he's trying to sell it. A club full of good players is worth more, simple as that. Enrique will only be sold if MA is offered a ludicrous amount of money or if Enrique refuses to sign a new contract. If MA wanted to make profit, he would have started to take money out of the club long time ago, like Fat Fred did. But there's scarce evidence to support that claim. Did you read my post right? I didn't
  18. I hate A. Carr's humor, it's bloody pathetic.. Or is it just me?

    A very, very good post!

    Shefki Kuqi

Why is that? Exactly! And for all we know, he's going to make one more signing (cf Journal). If you can get Kuqi for free, why not take him? It doesn't hurt, especially when you consider that both Best and Ranger must be wrapped in cotton until the match against Burn.
  21. He could do a lot better than us too. How could anybody do better than the toon??? We just made the greatest comback in PL history If we search leagues in Holland, France and Belgium we may find a player that surpass Bender, and he will be much cheaper, purchase-wise and salary-wise. I trust Carr.
  22. Le God is back soon, then I'm going to make you eat those words.
  23. Bendter is an improved version of Shola, but his statistics isn't that good when you factor in that he plays for Arse. He's too inconsistent, and misses too many obvious chances. And his attitude is shit. Because we probably will play in a 4-4-1-1 4-5-1 formation next year, we need an attacker that fits that bill: Industrious, fast and possession-skilled. Consequently, he's a no go for me.

    Ewerthon

I guess Kuqi's payment is food and water, so I really they spash some cash to sign Ewerthon up. We need pace upfront. If we get him, Kuqi's arrival will be just just funny.. Kuqi's previous team wanted to keep him but couldn't afford his wage demand Jeah, I heard he ate too much rice, that greedy c***
