I guess Kuqi's payment is food and water, so I really they spash some cash to sign Ewerthon up. We need pace upfront. If we get him, Kuqi's arrival will be just just funny..

Hope not. There's nothing in the above article that actually says that he's shunned us. I quote: "His British representative Barry McIntosh told skysports.com: "There has been an offer from Newcastle. "However, the player is still considering his options - that is all we can say at the moment." From above mentioned excerpt I induce that he's actually received an offer from us, and is considering it. But the agent never mentions anything about rejection. Anyways, 99% of what the agents utter to the media is bullshit. They're of course interested in "spicing up" the interest hoping that this generate more money for them and players.
  3. No chance. He's almost thirty, and after a wonderful start on the season, he's settled at a lower level. We need players that have solid performances continually, not those who vary between superb and catastrophic. And he's been injury prone.

Said the same earlier. I always regarded him as a quick clever forward who had some ability but didn't get enough goals. He would be Nolan's twin opposite if there could be such a thing. When Arfa, Ireland is back we have a bundle of players that are able to score goals. The most important job Aliadiere must do is to keep the ball upfront without loosing it. Also he must be in constant movement. Those factors create room and enables the midfield to move forward near the opponent's box. If he's able to do that, I welcome him.
  5. Watched the 2nd half again. Simpson was absolutely class. His best performance for NUFC. Good both ways. The guy got stamina, no doubt about it.
  6. Hilarious if he bags 10 goals this season. Maybe he hasn't played for a team that suits his style. Boro was in bad shape when he was with them. Hard to be an attacker when you have a crappy midfield that doesn't provide the balls you need.
  7. He can be suitable if we play 4-4-1-1 because of his work ethic.. His technique isn't bad either. Him running like an idiot, creating space for Ireland, Nolan, Ben Arfa and Bartons may be a good solution..but I underline may...
  8. He represents exactly the type of player we need to keep buying: young, talented and cheap because of the contract situation. get in!

    This season...

Ahh, the fameous c***-word. Settles every discussion

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Someone looks happy, that's for sure...
  11. Thanks to Carroll's money we can afford to say no. MA proved in that transfer saga that he will reject sums that doesn't meet his evaluation of the player. I'm pretty sure that Tiote will not be sold unless another insane and must say yes offer comes by

    This season...

First of all, MA has already pointed out that although he may be rich, he's poor compared to the owners of Chelski and Shitty. And as a consequence he must buy/sell with profit to turn the club around. That's the reality of Fred selling a club that was in a complete mess. The fact that he sold Carroll does not mean that he has no ambition. There's been plenty of news coverage in Norway regarding Carroll's transfer, and everyone points in the same direction: NUFC got an insane amount of money for him. Also they've branded the the general spending as horrendously, and I agree. Think about it: we got £30 millions up front, 7,5% resale clause, and £5 mill is paid later for a player that's injured (maybe for the rest of the season) and who only has half a pl-season to show for. That's good business, to say the least. And I pretty sure that most other clubs would have done the same if they were presented with such an offer. Carroll was sacrificed for the long term good of the club. Tham is a pretty good example of this: They sold Berbatov and Carrick with good profit, that enabled them to buy players that now have taken them to CL. And I think MA are thinking in the same manner. Another important aspect is that now we actually have focus on scouting and talents, meaning that the probability of us picking up another Tiote or Carroll has increased significantly. One more big transfer, and the horrendous errors made earlier are nullified. Then we will be one of the few clubs with a solid economical base. All this change within one season, how about that? More and more clubs are paying over the top for shitty players. That a poor player like Carew earned a cool £60 000 in Villa says all about how worrying the current economical climate is. The best thing is to buy wisely (young and hungry players) enforce that salary cap (unless we are able to sign diamonds like HBA) and wait. Because within some years, the shit is gonna hit the fan, bigtime, and then it's time for us to strike. I want success, but I doesn't want it bought and paid for like Shitty and Chelsea. It should be earned. And MA could be onto something, I think.
  13. Absolute class. Maybe you can create one with Tiote sodomizing De Jong too, that piece of s***. I feel my pulse increasing just by thinking back on that tackle ..
  14. Not a big difference if you look at the numbers isolated. But, remember that Pardew has been plagued with suspensions and injuries on key players. Tiote out for three games, that hurts, big time. Also we've had a tough program, Tham x 2 , Arse, City and Fulham away are daunting opponents. So, when those factors are considered, I'm impressed that we in average have conceded less than under Houghton's reign.
  15. Beye's first season at RB was superb, far better than Carr and Barton. Simpson has improved drastically this year though, some minor improvements both ways and we have us a superb rb..
  16. Agree. Hangeland has made huge steps since he came to Fulham. He wins everything in the air, and got a better physique than Willamson and Colo, and he's developed good passing skills to. If you watch him play, notice how he's able to play the ball in tight areas and pass it upwards to the midfield. He doesn't hurl the ball away with long passes. But he's recently signed a new contract, so he won't come cheap.'

Sign god damn it. We need him. Burn and Samba will destroy us with Loven and Ranger on top. We need a mobile and fast attacker that can stretch their defence.
  18. NUFC fan Skjelbred doesn't want to renew his contract with Rosenborg. His contract expires New Year. http://www.dagbladet.no/2011/02/07/sport/fotball/rosenborg/tippeligaen/per_ciljan_skjelbred/15340792/ www.translate.google.com

    Lookalikes

Cheick Tiote http://thumbs.dreamstime.com/thumb_67/11512347057Lr2Oz.jpg Mr. Steel Girder http://images.teamtalk.com/10/09/640/Tiote_2502635.jpg
  20. Attacker from the Ivory Coast. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gervinho . Did play in the WC. Since Tiote and him play on the same national team, maybe we have an advantage. Or, Tiote will probably command Gervinho to sign for us: "Obey the force Gervinho-san."
  21. Spot on. Bellamy was a complete idiot, but he was a very intelligent and industrious player. He created a lot of room for Big Al. Barton, Ireland, HBA and Nolan are all players capable of creating goals. Gervinhio will stretch the defense and create room for the midfield outside the opponent box, enabling them to score.
  22. He was. Sorry. There is NO way Carroll was better as this age, I think we've all got a bit of nostalgia filter for Carroll cause 2 years ago I'm pretty sure everybody wanted to sell him as all he could do was head a ball, he had no first touch or anything Totally agree. The few games he played in the relegation season, he was poor. It's quite ironic. The relegation gave Carroll the chance to play for one whole season in a league that is not so fast as PL. And that season Carroll was born as a player. Without the relegation, it's not sure that Carrol ever would have gotten the chance. So it's essential that Ranger his loaned next season. That will do him good, as long as he keeps his head straight that is

His statistics in Germany speaks for itself. If he can revive that form, he is an absolutely bargain. We're the reject team, so I fully believe that the club will make the best out of him
  24. You have not one empirical foundation to support your claim. If Enrique is sold, it's because the lad wants to move cl-club so he can push for a spot on the Spanish team. Remember that NUFCs value correlates with the player base. If Enrique is sold, sure MA will cash in some money, but the club will also be less worth if he's trying to sell it. A club full of good players is worth more, simple as that. Enrique will only be sold if MA is offered a ludicrous amount of money or if Enrique refuses to sign a new contract. If MA wanted to make profit, he would have started to take money out of the club long time ago, like Fat Fred did. But there's scarce evidence to support that claim.
  25. Considering that we only paid £3.5 mill for him, he must be the greatest bargain we've had since our first promotion. But £5 mill for HBA is also a steal though..
