Yeah I don’t agree with this. He was with the man, just reacted slower. He’s not a defender, his brain doesn’t work like a defender. Doubt he would have beaten his man in the air even if he went with him.

I totally agree he hasnt been great recently. Not good enough going forward for sure. But I was specifically addressing the people giving him stick for being shite defensively.

Does he refuse? He was there with the player but he was slow to react. I don’t think he refuses, I just don’t think he know how to defend. Like I said, if we’re having to rely on ASM to stop an attacking move in the left back position then something has already gone wrong and others haven’t done their job.

I think you’re right there, he definitely flatters to deceive. And he’s never, ever going to be a good defender.
