you don't go around calling people twats on social networks though, do you ffs? That's MUCH worse than being accused of lying in a very serious case. As much as I'm sure that you're trying to get a reaction, it doesn't take a genius to look at both cases and to figure out roughly what's happened. If he was that badly done by, he would have left his tweet up, instead of deleting it. Bit immature about the 'who it is doesn't matter' bit. Clearly it does. He'll have been told to delete it. The point is that if he believes he told the truth then why would he just accept being called a liar? You wouldn't and I wouldn't so why should the pantomime villain Ashley Cole? You have to respond to being called a liar by calling them a t***? You couldnt think of a more dignified response? Give over man ffs. He's said it was in the heat of the moment and has apologised. I'm sorry for not jumping on the "easy target" bandwagon.

Good on him. If he thinks he didn't lie then why accept being called a liar? Who it is shouldn't matter.

Pardew called the superhero "wey hey man" Saw at least 5 different adverts for it last night. It's not going away.

He gets treatment in most games but continues. But let's not start calling Tiote injury prone... -
I dont think so, Reading and Norwich werent anything special but we still managed to put it pretty awful performances without being able to string three passes together. Last night we played some decent stuff on the deck, couple of nice interchanges. Cabaye made a massive difference to us. Was a decent performance and a confidence booster ahead of Sunday. Reading and Norwich weren't as lifeless as Bordeaux. Maybe we were playing with a bit more carefree freedom than we do in the league but I can't see us doing that in our next 4 league games. And ATB is mental.
-
This might be harsh, but I'm putting a large part of our performance down to how bad Bordeaux were. We did have the ball a lot, and sometimes looked really good, but looking at the stats they had more shots and 7 corners to our 1. We obviously took our chances when they didn't but as positive as I feel about Sunday, it'll be like playing a completely different sport.

He was critically injured yet again last night only to resume play within a few minutes. Bigi was even getting ready to come on. Why does he need to limp off the pitch in nearly every game?

Some are paying through the nose on Sunday too. Not surprising they chose to miss this when its at least £40 more a few days later. -

Agree with this. Ruined a supposedly very good team with everyone playing well. Killing the game off early allowed us to rest a few players which was ideal. Morale boosting win (for players and fans) and every player celebrating the goals together was fantastic. With a bit of crowd violence and a comedy pitch invader thrown in it was quite a night. I think everyone in the ground was smiling as if Obertan was their own child when he was getting the high 5's after the first goal -

It's so sad that some players can just walk back in the squad unopposed. Carroll and Rooney have barely played and Welbeck shouldn't even be in there.

I just hope we get beat. Badly. Judging by the posts in here you'd think we were playing someone unbeatable, despite them having lost more games than us. -

They had, which provided the usual media hysteria about how they never lose two on the bounce. Our form had dipped going into the fixture last season, with only the 0-2 at Bolton preventing our run from being shocking. We produced a performance out of nowhere for the 3-0, lets hope for another. Can't remember the exact stat but there was something about Lindegaard barely conceding a goal all season too. Jonny Evans is a doubt now
