Not to derail the thread, but there was little to do with us "shutting up shop". Everything to do with sheer complacency and thinking the game was won. We actually had a few good chances we made a total pig's ear of. Aye, I meant that the team could go for a few more goals instead of just playing the game out as is.

The main worry with Kinnear is that the players simply won't take him seriously. They claim to like Pardew yet never actually show it on the pitch so how shit would they be under Kinnear?

Yep. Quite easy to play well when nobody is trying too hard to tackle you. Hopefully he'll realize that's what it's like for opposing midfielder against him. Load of bollocks that. Our best player got hauled off at HT and Cabaye still managed to change the game at about 70% fit. The man is a class act. Just a coincidence they completely stopped trying at HT then?
