What about before that? Since Wigan (3rd Dec) we've won home games in the last 10 mins 5 times out of 6. Turtle domination. Fucking hate winning games in the last few minutes me like. TURTLE domination at SJP.

Thanks for this. I'm only about 4 or 5 chapters into it but it's brilliant. Essential reading so far if you're into the youth coaching/scouting side. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Family-Death-Football-Frontline-Proper/dp/1906850267/ref=pd_sim_b_4 That's by the same author and looks very good too.

Managers putting their new signing on the bench for no reason. Why play Jelavic over Lukaku? Or Anderson over Fellaini? It's not like they're new to the league.

Who lets Cabaye take all those corners though? Surely after the first 100 utterly wasted corners he might have thought to give corner duties to someone else or set some time aside to get the team to practice attacking (and defending) corners. It's reached the point where we'd be better off putting the ball out for a goal kick since we don't just fuck up attacking corners, we end up creating attacking moves for the opposition. We haven't got the players to either put a good corner in or attack it well. He's been banging on about getting "jumpers" for years now but never gets one. It doesn't matter about jumpers if the delivery is good. Most near post header for example aren't from a jump there about the timing of the run and the delivery whipped in. Whipped in corners, amazing we still dont try. I'm sorry but this is down to a lack of management/coaching ability. "We haven't got the players to either put a good corner in or attack it well" :sexywink: I think we have, Ameobi, Saylor, Colo, Remy, Sissoko have all scored from corners in the past. But since Pardew's arrival we now have a coaching team that have no imagination whatsoever. Why does Cabaye still take them, why do we still float them and try absolutely nothing different. Can not one of those professional coaches come up with a set piece that carries at least a hint of threat. Answer is no because they are shit. Read the bold bit ffs That's why I bolded it. There's nobody in our squad who can deliver a good corner 7/10 times. That's a fact.

The lack of goals from corners is probably the 1 thing I can't blame on Pardle. Those floated set penises are another matter, of course.

Isn't that virtually what the club said when talking about our transfer policy? They did but didn't factor in a useless manager making them virtually worthless. If we had a good manager and we were in the top 8-10 last season we'd be more likely to have sold last summer. If we had finished in the top 8-10 and the players all looked great wouldn't we want even more? We'd have had higher bids in the first place which might have been acceptable as they were.

Managed 13 games, 3 wins, 3 drawers and 7 defeats. A 23% win percentage compared to Keane 42%, Bruce 30% and MoN 32%. Pardew is 37%. What's our record like in our last 13 league games out of interest? Not sure. Hurry up.

Newcastle United vs. Leeds United - 25/09/13 @ 7.45pm (No TV)

The only plus point to that is to give the young players another token game. 3 games a year might make them superstars. -
He should have been on the bench a year ago but that old "fuck all competition" thing stopped it just like it is now.
-
Love the fact that anything can happen in this next match. Most likely they'll be too scared to lose and end up 0-0 though.
-
4 assists for Urzil now.

Fucking hell I could have done without being reminded of that. Connor the poor sod didn't know where to turn to avoid multiple goal thrashings until Pards turned up with his notebook and vaseline. He was so bad he'd cry in interviews after every game. Except our game of course.

Newcastle United 2 - 3 Hull City - 21/09/13 (FT) Post match reaction from p 33

Mourinho can afford to drop a few players when there's probably £200million sitting on the bench or even in the stands. -
And neither of those people are warm.

Everton (A) Cardiff (A) Liverpool (H) Sunderland (A) Chelsea (H) Tottenham (A) In the next 6 weeks. At least now we know what Kinnear and Ashley were laughing at in the programme.

He was. Many, many times.
