  1. Seems to be getting better with every game. Uses both feet as well, always like that from a player. As someone else said, I get the feeling he will go on a half decent scoring run once he nets his first. Seemed to play a bit deeper and help link the midfield at times. Whether it was a deliberate plan from Pardew or not I don't know, but he certainly prasied him for it after the match.
  2. Must admit Im starting to get a bit disturbed about my longing to join in a goal celebration with him. I could have at Villa, was about 4 rows from the front and would have been one of the first to pile in for the celebrations. Got too over excited though and ran left, then right and then just stood on a rail for a bit cheering twat!
  3. My missus said, "he's not that attractive" been with her 5 years and having doubts TBH. Might just dump her and build a shrine for this man, what a player, what a beaut!
  4. Oh but it really sin't that simple, it's not simple at all........
  5. Thought Pardew said all along if draining it doesn't work, then he will have to have minor surgery to remove some scar tissue, but not cartilage? In fact he did, here you go: The prognosis is still a lot better than the original AP quotes from Friday. Most were worrying that he would be out for about 2-3 months, doesn't sound like that's the case.
  6. Sammy can play wide or up top, he's direct and has a presence about him. It's a no brainer, I'm confident even Pards will have him on the bench!
  7. Not really, if I was being a pedant I'd say we'd end up quite narrow. Does Marv use his right peg often? Not seen enough of him, but looks pretty one footed.
  8. I'm going to this but I'm dreading it. We never get sod all at Villa, been 4 times and got a point in total, conceeded 7 and scored only 2 Live about two hours away and stopping in brum, so will just have to get on the beer early to make up for the inevitable (sp) beating

    Shola Ameobi

Just as long as he doesn't start I'm happy, woever comes in for him is irrelevant. Marveaux, Gosling, Guthrie, hell even Smith, well maybe not Smith. Think Pilko is right, expect to see Gosling in for Strolla. Got a feeling Ba might start as well.
  10. Everyones first two scratched surely? Not sure who else should be taken out though. So if Saylor or Colo get injured, we have Danny Simpson to cover and that is it :embarassed:
  11. http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20110916/santon-injury-update_2281670_2452970 Not really sure what to make of that TBH. Not sure if it's better or worse? Apparently not related to his previous injury and seeing a specialist early next week. Not like they've played down how serious it is though, waiting for the swelling to go down perhaps?
  12. How do we know the severity though? Might have had half his knee taken out last time, now just trim the fat The fact he has had 2 maybe 3 ops on the same knee is a bit of a worry though. Has he got any menisucs (sp) left?
  13. Didn't it then flare up again and he had to have a second op?

I don't think that many are expecting that much though Alex, obviously exciting for various reasons. There is a clear lack of creativity, a huge gap between midfield and the forwards, plus Shola is starting games. I can totally understand peoples optimism.
  15. No way should Raylor be ahead of Ferguson. We might actually use the full backs if Ferguson played.
  16. Great read and sounded like it was class, jealous much! Thought Carver was splitting up the cliques, no Frenchmen are allowed to sit together and socialise
  17. Player's name on it's own with the odd title change. Can't stand multiple topics and it could easily end up like the RTG sack of shite. One reason I started using this forum was the one thread for each player/subject, think it's a good idea.
  18. Pretty much this. Had a quick read up, could just be a small tear and not require surgery, would still swell up if that's the case. Fingers crossed it just swelled a little bit and it's precautionary, from the quotes ('Santon's knee looked a little bit unhealthy after training), it sounded like he completed the training session, and then it swelled up after. Would hazard a guess that a larger tear would stop him from continuing? Perhaps it wasn't that bad #overlyoptimistic I'm hoping this is the case. Well the part of the meniscus that was torn has already been removed :http://www.inter.it/aas/news/reader?N=33636&L=en Therefore part of the shock absorbancy in his knee is no longer there, so will be vulnerable to occasionally swell up when his muscles havent been tuned up properly i.e. not having played much football So this is better or worse

  20. There is no plus side. If the lad has no knees, he'll not make a very good first choice. Will be weeks rather than months, have faith my friend. If not, start praying
  21. On the plus side, Pardew might realise after QPR game and the inevitable demolition job from Zog, that Raylor clearly isn't a left back. Santon as first choice, with Ferguson as back up from now on surely?
  22. FUCK, if SWP was charged with rape the other night, N'Zogbia will be getting done for murder. Raylor will get fucked over
  23. Think the same, hopefully Pardew proves us wrong, although I doubt it.
