Who has an irrational hatred of Alan Pardew? No need to name names, as I'm sure they will see it differently. Just my subjective opinion after all. I think you have an irrational mancrush on him.

I don't see what he's said wrong here? He's just saying we'll have a game plan and hope to contend the game. What's wrong with that? We will have a game plan and it's good to see Pards hopeful that we can contend with Man Utd - strange too since you lot usually say he is defeatist. Nice to see him say that we'll keep battling but also that he wants technique and creativity too - something you lot say we don't have and Pards doesn't want. We'll it's clear that Pardew wants that imagination and technique now let's see if the players can deliver. Are you kidding me? Just go away. Really? Are you people crazy? He's hopeful we can contend with a Man U team that everyone has been having a good go at this season. That means he's not a defeatist does it? He wants technique and creativity so badly that he plays Shola Ameobi ahead of Ben Arfa and Marveaux. Yeah sounds like he's positively gagging for it. Use your brain. I just think Spudil has a point. You can cry your cyber tears and molest your deluded expectations but at the end of the day we're just a wee club in the north. Injuries and the lack of a midweek european game will hamper us but we're lucky that we have an owner who appreciates the importance of a squad which is why we have Gosling to come in. edit: he's onto us

Did you mean Roger or are you actually saying clenched sphincters excite you on a public forum?

Is playing in europe in midweek a good thing again? I can't keep up.

Apparently he's willing to stay at Everton if they qualify for the Champions League. I can't see them having £25m to pay for him. The trouble with loaning players who are way out of your club's price range is that you've loaned them for e.g. £3m and had a seasons benefit out of them. Actually paying to buy the player doesn't look like good business, especially when your club has just helped boost the player's asking price. If they bought him for £25m on a 5 year contract that would be £5m a year before wages. I doubt he's cost them £5m for 1 season. The transfer of Romelu Lukaku to NUFC always sounded like a very unlikely transfer to happen. Now we know with 100% certainty that it won't happen. Apparently Lukaku also wants Champions League football next season so there's another nail in the coffin. 'Very unlikely'? I should have said "incredibly" unlikely. I only mentioned it as Pardew said NUFC would be interested in him a couple of weeks ago. About as likely as me farting rainbows. In fact you should just get rid of the likely completely and say 'The transfer of Romelu Lukaku to NUFC always sounded like a very un transfer to happen.'

Bit of adversity'll do him good. Build some backbone donchaknow.

Why do we keep signing full-backs?

See, if it was me and my employer said 'every time you're sick you can piss off back home and see your family for a while on us' i'd be 'sick' a lot. I don't give a fuck about Clarefontaine or 'special' french physios or witch doctors (ffs). If you're injured you stay in Newcastle and get treated by the club. If you want to piss off back home for a few weeks you can but you're not getting paid for it and you'll be fined if the club doctor deems you unfit when you return.

4-3-3 Ben Arfa playing Gosling
-
Sissoko can't play out on the right, he's a central midfielder ffs. Sure knob jockey will find someone to stick out of position there so we have enough tackles. Probably Santon, he seems to have a thing about playing as many left backs as we possibly can.

Signing players from relegated teams is rarely a good idea. There's a reason they were relegated.

Gonna be Auf Wiedersehen Pet revisited.

我们现在有越来越多的法国球员,我觉得你应该学习更多的法语,呵呵。

Spot the odd club out Liverpool. The rest aren't cunts.

It'll fly by, those 12 hours with Owen will seem like a mere 12 weeks.
-
Aye, you'd have to have been a mug to have lost to that Brighton side.
-
For a normal club, though, £35m for Andy Carroll is basically unrejectable, it's stupid money. When I say a normal club I of course mean one which isn't owned by a sovereign state like Southampton and one which will re-invest the money in players. For us we might as well have kept him, we need a decent forward more than a big wedge of cash.
-
Dummett says hi Do you think Dummett is the best left back at the club? Second best? I'd put him third best behind Santon and Haidara so barring injuries he shouldn't be near the matchday squad.
-
Or 'damned if we do, damned if we don't' you might say.
-
I'd take 'might be shit' over 'definitely is shit' tbh.
-
Going through that process is even more depressing than keeping Pardew. There are a hell of a lot of shit managers out there. Keep Pardew - We'll have a shit manager Hound them out - We'll still have a shit manager but it'll add a bit of variety (spice of life ynaa)
-
So we hound them out too until Ashley runs out of old knackers to employ and gets a real manager.

A £27m loss - £30m lost TV revenue - £8m loyalty bonuses + £16m parachute payment =
