Aye, but if it's a choice between making the city a bit better or slinging a few quid at the football club I think we have to side with the city. Plenty of other commercial opportunities for NUFC but actually making Newcastle a nicer place and enhancing the setting of the fine architecture our city displays doesn't come along every day. Besides, the brochure would have nice places, decent restaurants and a spotlessly maintained environment but the real thing would be a burger king, a Greggs, a Nando's and a Mc'Ds with a Wetherspoons and would be a shithole 5 minutes after it opened.

Unless they're going to cut off the regional deals I don't see how it would work. We pay £26 a YEAR for what they're offering and I don't see those greedy bastards at the PL offering a service for that much. Nobody here will use it if there are other local options available basically.
