There shouldn't be, £70 mill loss (21/22) dropped out from PSR up to to this June, another £60 Mill loss (22/23) drops out for next June, we made a profit 23/24 (£1 mill) and dont know 24/25 figures yet but the club will. Then you add in the recent sales/wages savings, we should be sweet, the snake here or not.

Bollocks, we bossed them and missed the chances we created.
-
That's just not true, we bossed Villa and the dippers (with 10 men) we just had no cutting edge, yesterday was our first truly poor performance, but even then we had another clean sheet away from home (where the home team are unbeaten for 20 odd games).

Really, he leapt out to me, remember thinking "god, I'd love him here" but never suspected it was possible 🤷♂️
-
I saw it said - The club's private plane that was in Milan during the Thiaw negotiations evidently brought back whoever was negotiating via a stop in Stuttgart 🤷♂️

Contract's not a big deal, They're mainly standard for all players (PFA agreed), the only parts that are player specific are the salary bits and bonuses/release clauses if any. Shouldn't take long tbh.

The only similarity to Crouch is height, this lad could be so much more than Crouch ever was.
-
And the cartel plus the rest = enough votes to fuck the challengers
-
We will be, this is to bring the old place up to scratch until the new one is ready, which could be a few years realistically.
-
Wouldn't be surprised if we've said to his reps, get the fucker back into training or we walk away, doesn't make our job playing hardball with Isak any easier if we sign someone doing similar (however different the circumstances).

For those not old enough to know the truth. This article (2022) puts that right, legacy club through hard work my arse: https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-man-city-fixture-news-23623353

No we didn't, that hype only started well into last season.
-
100% tapped up, wouldn't engage in new contract talks why? Because he knew we can't pay what the dippers can. Oh and they have a lot of previous on that, Elbows Van Dijk and Gareth Barry (per M. O'Neill) to name two.
-
I think you are being unfair to Isak and his agent, if our £60 Mill gamble on him hadn't paid off, and he was mediocre, I am sure they would have come to the club and asked for reduced wages and not just sat on the nice fat 6 year contract. (Bastards) P.S. Someone needs to invent a sarcasm font.
-
I fail to see how, we would cover around £50/60k a week through his re-amortisised contract but where's the other £50-£75k coming from ? Then there's Bruno's supposed highest earner clause, all this at a time when we were scrambling and had to sell Anderson/Minteh. There's also the point that why on earth would you increase someones wages who was only one third of a way into their contract, a contract that had trippled their wages when they signed.

This 👆We also don't know what his relationship with Franc was like, just because he was his manager doesn't mean he liked/got on with him.
-
Well Elbows Van Dijk does it every game.

Journo's trying to create false equivalence with Isak situation. He didn't play at the weekend because he wasn't selected by the manager.
