  1. We could certainly do a lot worse. While it's not exactly a blockbuster singing, let's give the guy a chance. He should have a bit of a point to prove which should see him giving his best for us.
  2. That is a beautiful image and one I truly hope occurs.
  3. Aye, they've looked a great partnership. It's ridiculous that they haven't played together yet, this being our last game before Arsenal. But still pretty vonfident both of them are intelligent enough to play well from the start, i hope so.. Indeed, I doubt they'll be running face first into each other all the time. A few games together would have been nice, but it's not the end of the world.
  4. I hope this guy gets a lot of game time there, would be good to see him do well!
  5. Good news Indeed it is, but the Fiorentina game is probably Jose's swansong That's how I see it. I know he's dicked us around a lot with the whole contract issue, but I hope he's given a good send off for everything he's done for us. So long, gaaaayboy!

    Alan Pardew

Pretty much agree. With Hughton's core, I was actually very proud of the team and had big hopes for a future filled with players who loved and cared for the club. As you say, I'm very much left with a thought of what could have been
  7. yes there is. Why would we want a shite keeper who is no better than what we have? Exactly. The guy's a clown, we simply do not need a keeper at present, much less a mediocre one like Green.
  8. THE FUCKING BALANCE SHEET
  9. I fucking hope so. If it's anything like Abe I'll fucking play it.
  10. Best - I throw an axe into Ashley's face and don't get caught. Team finishes 8th. Worst - I throw an axe at Ashley, misses and hits Ben Arfa's leg. Relegation.
  11. So someone else will suddenly want to pay Mike Ashley what he thinks NUFC is worth because of Joey Barton's rant? Until someone else wants to buy NUFC we are stuck with Ashley. Ironically, his penny pinching is more likely to help him sell the club as NUFC will be more attractive to a buyer without the debts of most clubs. Knowing our luck any new buyer would end up being like Birmingham City's owner or QPR's tight fisted owners. No? I didn't say Joey's rant will make a buyer pluck up from the ground, I was alluding to the anarchy aspect forcing Ashley's hand; i.e. lowering the asking price, which would hopefully appeal to some buyers. As you say, NUFC could be more attractive to a buyer now, as opposed to last time, with costs way down. Like I said, it's very positive thinking at best
  12. So obviously "this group of lads" is all but dismantled now. We've lost a lot of spirit and graft which certainly kept us up last season. However, I believe this "new group of lads", meaning Ba, Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Abeid, Marveaux and I'll include Vuckic in that aswell, have the potential to be better for us. Technically I think they're more gifted than their predecessors. Obviously it's a massive gamble, but I'm trying to be positive, this could still turn out to be a good season. Joey has hardly lifted the lid on a massive secret, we all know the owner and his cronies are a bunch of soppy cunts who haven't the first clue about running a proper football club. What it has done, is brought things out a bit more to the public and non- Newcastle fans. Lots of people at work are giving Ashley a lot of shit for the deciet and such about the transfer money disappearing and the general way he runs our club. Joey has over stepped the mark, of course, but in doing so may have started the ball rolling for Ashley & Co to finally be on their way out. As someone posted earlier, anarchy might be the only way to overthrow these guys. I realise there's a lot of fairytale thinking in there, but I can't just be enveloped totally in the negativity currently surrounding us.
  13. It's funny how so much can change in such a short space of time. A few weeks ago after our initial signings, the positivity was back. I genuinley thought that the magical £35M was going to be spent in helping us flesh out our squad with quality players. This hasn't and clearly won't happen. This club is being torn apart and it's horrible to watch. As ever though, we (the fans) will be here in the aftermath of it all, left to pick up the pieces. As for this season, I can't see anything other than a relegation dogfight right now. Horrible considering this was the summer we had a real chance to kick on when instead, we've gone backwards and look to be on a slippery slope.

Can't wait to see him shin it past Ashley Cole and fizz in a perfect ball to Row Z
  15. Mike and Del are going to tell him they're leaving and the club is in Joey's control.
  16. I appreciate they've had plenty of shit back at times. Although, to be fair, it has usually been in response to them doing something heinous (Ashley and Mort were treat like heroes back at the beginning and they fucking lapped it up). However, it just narks me how we should be having a fantastic time and building something special here with what is/was a very good core group of players/professionals and we're still tripping over our feet because of their attitude. I don't understand why the fuck he bought us, basically. He's never shown any real ambition at all to make a success of things. Basically, that. But what I can't understand is why you wouldn't want to make a real go of it and try and maximise your profit. Ashley's clearly being very cautious and trying not to spend any money in the hope we'll survive, so be it if it's by the skin of our teeth. That doesn't excuse the ridiculous way he seems to treat his employees. Let's face it, even if this was an "ordinary" business, there's no way in hell a boss, or his deputy, should be treating well respected top employees like that. Bottom line; the man is a prick who we're severely unlucky to be with and I can't wait until we're shot of him.
  17. My heart was in my mouth for a minute there, c'mon son
  18. He's just getting all the yellow cards out of his system early, don't worry it'll be fine.
  19. If by some miracle we manage to finish in the top 6, would he do a u-turn? Or have his bridges already been burned?
