  1. According to TalkSport? A mish mash of mentally handicapped people?
  2. Yep. We just want all clubs to be able to spend the same amount. Haven't yet seem a sensible argument that the current system - allowing the larger clubs to spend more - make any sense.

Not massively educated on the subject, but as I understand Achilles injuries tend to only heal from rest. Constant wear puts them at further and further risk of rupture which can happen pretty spontaneously and would be a 10+ month recovery. Stem cells, PRP and newer peptides like BPC-157 and TB-500 can probably speed up recovery, but will still require rest and I think the peptides are WADA banned now. Got to have faith the medical team know what they're doing and wouldn't risk him, but for context, calf & Achilles injuries tend to be associated. Willock was out for 26 games with Achilles issues the season before last and has already been out with a calf issue this season. It's one of main issues where it can go from discomfort to rupture without much forewarning so tend to be treated with extreme caution.

Apparently nursing an Achilles injury. Hopefully Elanga is getting close to 'Howe fitness' so we can rest him.

How many flops have those clubs that have signed £10m-15m players also signed? Anyone can compete if they can see into the future.
  6. Played out the exact way Liverpool and Isak wanted. Least we could've done is made him sit in the reserves for a few months. Never thought the Saudi's were good businessmen, but hoped their ego and arrogance wouldn't allowed them to be made to look like a bunch of right fucking mugs by these scouse cunts. No other way to spin this.
  7. Was trying to describe to situation around the arrogance and victimhood of Liverpool fans to my girlfriend. Easiest comparison I could make was the 'offended by everything, ashamed of nothing', and similar to Israel's view of themselves. Googled 'why do Liverpool fans act all high and mighty', hoping for a Google AI result. Unfortunately no Google AI response but the following came up on the top 5 search results, couldn't make this shit up. 'Chosen people's and historical injustices 😂 From now on I'm comparing Liverpool fans to Israelis
  8. I find it mental that people are willing to bend over and be shafted by a lowball offer from Liverpool after all he's done as this is exactly what him, his agent and Liverpool have all been angling and spreading shite through twitter cunts all summer. If he isn't willing to reintegrate then stick him in the reverses and fine him a week's wages for every reverse game he refuses to play. He won't be near the first team to disrupt them and the financial impact won't be that great, his remaining book value gets amortised over time, or recognised when he gets sold, that total amount doesn't change no matter what. We'd likely be selling him at a similar discount by taking the 1 offer on the table from a club we all fucking despise or by taking a discounted value sale from him sitting in the reserves all year.
  9. Surely he's leaning in to try block it with his body. It's impossible to get your elbow and arm completely behind your back.
  10. If that's a pen, then is he not even allowed to attempt to block it with his body?
  11. The default position of referees should be to assume that a Portuguese player going to ground is diving.

I'm interested in how 'extensive' our Scalvini scouting was, considering he played about 300 minutes last season.
  13. Still can't let him go. Sets a dangerous precedent for other players agitating for a move. Doesn't really impact PSR too much as he won't be paid wages and his remaining book value either gets amortised now or when he is eventually sold. Only risk on leaving him in the reserves for a year is his value reducing. But accepting a lowball offer now and opening us up to this game in the future, on the weight of things, seems to be an even riskier option in my opinion.
  14. Should get PIF Saudi clubs to start offering Liverpool player's £1m a week wages then lowball them with £5m transfer fees to start a bit of unsettling back.
  15. I think the most likely reason is to push a move, probably to Liverpool. But just highlighting that there's surely a lot more going on that we know. We're just being fed parts that agents want us know through people like Romano.
  16. I think we all understand the PSR challenges of bringing in players was always going to be difficult, but keeping players with the club is something we have a degree of control over. If our rich Saudi overlords, who were meant to come in and let us challenge for the title within 5 or so years, sell our biggest asset to a club we aspire to compete against, then they've failed the first real test of their resolve. I'd argue that would make our club, and project, look more of a laughing stock.
  17. Really couldn't give a flying fuck about veiled 'compliments' from other club's fans, but maybe that's just me.
  18. Still don't understand why some people think we should bend to his will and sell him to Liverpool. Message should be that if an acceptable offer comes in from abroad then we'll talk, otherwise buckle down as you have 3 years left. We aren't powerless here and PIF will look weak if him moving to Liverpool transpires. We could all be reading the situation wrong. By 'explore a move away' he may just want to talk to other clubs, which could include talking to Barca about a move next year for all we know. My compromise would be to let him talk to clubs abroad and a Premier League move isn't happening.
  19. It's the downing tools which gets me, always had him down as a model professional. Closest thing you could probably relate to normal people would be refusing to work your notice period if you're in a crucial/hard to replace role for the company.
  20. So he told an estate agent his future transfer aspirations? Sounds a bit dodgy, even if it wasn't coming from, of all people, an estate agent.
  21. As much as it's fair for him to request a pay rise, it's also fair for us to tell him he has 3 years left on his contract and unless someone submits a stupid offer he won't be going anywhere this summer. We took a chance spending a significant sum on bringing him to the PL when no one else would, which he's repaid handsomely, but neither party 'owes' the other anything here and he isn't going to go on strike in a WC year.
  22. Attempting to insult someone by saying they're good at maths Says everything you need to know about this fucking loser and his mentality.
  23. If the reports around Mitchell vetoing a new contract for Isak are correct then it's an easy fix. In negotiations stress it was Mitchell, he's no longer here and give Isak a signing bonus on his new contract equal to the backdated pay increase from when we were last in negotiations.
