I don’t think any team has made 5-3-2 work in the prem. Opposition full backs have all the time in the world and can just dictate the game. Steve Bruce used to play it ffs

Yeah, I get the impression that even if the opposition works him out he still occupies them in a way that frees up Wilock/Joelinton/Bruno etc. The drop off from him to the other wide players in our squad is monumental.

Assuming we keep the same system, if we can get pace and athleticism in at left back I think that would be sufficient. Don’t think replacing Schar is a good idea yet despite his performance at the weekend.

I think it has to be 3 years between the ages of 15-21, but not fully sure.
