Kebab shop owners and bacon wholesalers?

Reminds me- I saw Richard Steadman died this year. He was THE go-to for all sporting ACL injuries back in the day, wasn’t he- every fucker was flying over to the US for him to treat them.
-
Only by @The College Dropout. Haven’t seen it anywhere else, and he didn’t quote his source.
-
Likewise. You can see it creeping in already- we haven’t spent enough, we’ve bought/sold the wrong players, the club should be doing blah blah blah… ?♂️?

It’s my big worry for this coming season. Last year was unbelievable and beyond most expectations. Even the club say they didn’t expect it. This year, although it’s still obviously possible, to repeat it and finish in the CL spots will be an even bigger achievement for me. But I know a lot of fans will perceive a lower league position as a failure and the inevitable moaning and bitching will be loud.

Did a fine line in furniture too, if I recall correctly

Aye- no step overs, no bandages, and no sitting on his arse watching his teammates back-pedalling after losing the ball. Just goals using quality technique from all angles and distance. Boring as fuck- not gonna lie, I’m not going to watch that trash. And especially not pay good money to watch in person.

We all thought the good times would last forever and that the club would be competing at the top table for years to come. Little did we know what was around the corner.
-
Injured even more often than ASM though.
-
Not selected for the squad - he’s only played 2 games since his injury.
-
-
He’s 5’8” according to transfermarkt (173cm).
-
Sounds a lot, although he’s only played 38 senior games in total, and I guess most or all of those were at RB.

Valentino Francisco Livramento. Get that into a song!
-
I’m excited too, but tempered slightly by the return from injury concern. He was great in the one season he played before the injury- let’s hope that he can get back to that again. It’s clear any current price should reflect that, and that he’d be even more expensive if he’d played last season on an upward trend, but it’d be pleasing if we could include a clause to pay some of the fee on condition of number of games played (or something similar). still…look forward to him signing. If he does.

Fuck me, just give it a rest man. ASM is being sold, and Barnes is being bought. Life goes on. The pros and cons of both players have been discussed to death, and at this point no one will be changing their opinion until Barnes starts playing. Let’s just get behind Barnes, support the team, and trust the club, eh? You never know, it might just be a whole lot better.

Clearly hasn’t got a Saudi offer so is going to take Palace’s £200kpw and play safe to continue his ‘big fish in a small pond’ vibe.
-
“Livramento is very attack-minded, so attacking that he has occasionally played as a winger for the development side, although he spends the majority of his playing time as a wing-back. He usually plays as a right wing-back, however, he can play on the left just as comfortably (as he did against Liverpool on the 19th of February).” https://breakingthelines.com/scouting-report/scouting-report-valentino-livramento/

MLS record transfer is around £12m. Miggy has another two years on his contract after this coming season I think. There’s zero chance imo that we would or could sell him there.
-
But….as per RTG… “It wouldn't be Saudi money, it's Liverpool money as its an agreement with them and no one else.” ??

But it’s the bright lights of Lahhhndahhn, innit?

Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)

Injuries and age, plus adapting to new country and style of playing. Think Mourinho has suggested that he was bought by Roman instead of Jose’s first choice too- he was never really given a decent run, and seemingly lost confidence as a result.
