We all hope that. But it seems like you’re criticising the current owners before letting them get to the point of making that decision, whether that’s the right one or not. We all wish we had a good manager in by now, but unlike Spurs, we have only had three weeks of ownership and all that entails (which 99% of us probably wouldn’t even have a clue about with how much and what that requires).

18 month deal offered to Conte by Spurs, allegedly. Surprising. Doesn’t sound a long term (obviously!), stable, secure deal at all?
-
They’re a more attractive club right now due to league position, players, infrastructure. Plus the owners have been there longer than three weeks and have spoken to Conte for longer than that- they even interviewed him in the summer- they just needed to pick up where they left off. Still not done though- can’t see them having too much cash to spend which Conte would want, and not sure that Conte and Levy would be best buddies with their individual personalities. He turned them down in the summer, after all. We’ll see.

https://www.sportbible.com/football/news-reactions-evra-brings-up-wilfried-zahas-alleged-fling-with-moyes-daughter-20200919.amp.html hardly surprising that Zaha got ‘alienated’ tbf.

Given the respect and high esteem he’s held in by the current manager of their London neighbours, Spurs could do a lot worse than get in that elite English manager of the last 100 years…
-
Relegated by Christmas? Get a grip man. There’s all to play for.
-
Being interviewed? Fuck me, the amount of bedwetters on here surpasses even RTG.
-
So? We just happen to have a shit load of cash. If that gets us the best manager we can get, I’ll be a happy man. Where’s the problem?
-
£100m+ though? Maybe we will spend that in a few years time on individual players- can’t see it anytime soon though, considering we need a whole new squad.
-
It’s PIF making the decisions, so all the media say. Staveley is interviewing and passing on her thoughts to PIF. Just like the Bruce sacking.

One report has mentioned tax. Every other one is because the new DoF didn’t want him, and preferred Nuno.
-
If he has any pride at all, he’d knock them straight back- he said everything was agreed and they basically told him to do one so they could employ Nuno instead.
-
Fonseca bringing the Roma team with him?

The money in the PL far outweighs anything Italy could offer or provide in the future. Plus TV audiences are also vastly greater. If they want to make money as an investment, or do their ‘sportswashing’, England is the place to do it.
-
They’ve stated officially that it’s a long term project. Why would they cut their losses after 8 months? That would make zero sense. And even if they did, I can’t see anyone queuing up to buy us again.
-
Yeah- was the first DoF after Chelsea got taken over I think, and was instrumental in signing the majority of their first ‘superstars’. Don’t know what he’s done since he left there though.

Michael Emanalo, ex Chelsea.

https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1514186/newcastle-united-news-marc-overmars-amanda-staveley-ajax-premier-league overmars’ three month notice period allegedly makes his appointment unlikely as we wouldn’t then be in a position to sign players in Jan, unless we can think of a way around that problem (throw money at Ajax to rip the contract up, if we want him that badly?). Emanalo also mentioned as in the running.
-
Lol…Soz. Couldn’t find the post!
-
No, me neither. But stranger things have happened, and it’s still a chance for him.
-
I thought he was interested but we didn’t want to go for him?
-
https://tbrfootball.com/report-newcastle-to-step-up-dof-search-but-it-wont-be-marc-overmars/ Rangnick, Campos or Mitchell according to the Times- Overmars won’t be appointed.

A Wigan fan earlier said he’s there a fair bit actually. His wife is from the UK so maybe seeing family? Why would he leave Belgium just before a World Cup when they have a chance of the trophy? 2+2= 5, methinks.
-
In the way that he provides other things other than pure goal/assist stats for the time being, like running off the ball, running with the ball, making space for others etc etc. There are far worse ‘offenders’ in the team you need to be making examples of who do the sum of fuck all. Granted, for the reputation he came with, and money spent, he should be doing better, but I’d have him in the team over others, for sure.
