  1. Yeah- why not? Bruno would be the ‘middle’ one as opposed to the one nearest our own goal now.
  2. Despite their seemingly unlimited spending, I seriously doubt they’d be going for both Fernandez AND Caicedo.
  3. No, I don’t think so? It just means one player would be more defensively minded than Bruno currently is and would provide more cover to the back four than he now does. Bruno would then step up to do the Willock/Longstaff role/position. Ideally, we would get a Manu Kone type who is box to box like Bruno, but is comfortable and efficient doing the defensive stuff too.
  4. Fit? It’s known that the club bought Bruno to play him further up the pitch but have been hampered with this plan by injuries and lack of alternatives. A more defensive minded midfielder would allow Bruno more freedom to hurt the opposition, rather than sitting on the edge of our own box at times.
  5. Good source for his positional play/stats etc: https://bulinews.com/news/15462/kouadio-kone-gladbach-dynamo
  6. Scouting him? Sarsfield haven’t played since Oct and their next game is 28th Jan. I’m sure they (like many top clubs) are already aware and will be keen like us, but the media headline is shit as normal.
  7. Trippier will be 33 towards the start of next season. The club will want to gradually phase him out after next year I reckon, and move him to the bench/coaching. I can’t see him being first choice RB at 34/35, no matter how great/important he is at the moment.
  8. Saves money for clubs on name badges/embroidery by only employing ‘Steves’ to coaching positions. (*makes exceptions for family)
  9. Probably because of Alex lumping on in the hope he gets a job again.

? sorry- I hadn’t spotted his wiki wasn’t up to date. Fair enough.

Yates has 8 goals in 42 appearances this season. Stewart has 7 in 9. It’d be a huge change in ability for them.

“Why would he go to the likes of Stoke?” well, the manager did, after all….

Jerry Yates as replacement. Imagine the fewm.
  14. Fair enough- I didn’t think that was the case (but what do I know? Lol!). 8 or 9bn was the full sale price I thought- wonder who would be able to do that?
  15. Just one more Portuguese/Dubai villa payout I reckon, and he’ll call it a day.
  16. According to Romano, Jorginho has received a new contract offer from Chelsea. What a surprise.
  17. Don’t think they’re close. Plus I also don’t think it’s a sale, but ‘investment’ coming in- if at all. Using it as a possible reason not to spend though, aye. (Then they’ll probably splash £100m to keep the fans onside).
  18. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-11581049/Newcastle-chase-Lyons-Malo-Gusto-alongside-Manchester-United.html Malo Gusto. Yes please ?
  19. Gives the creaking bench some respite
  20. I think he’s worth £70m+, and that price wouldn’t put other clubs off. We wouldn’t sell for a hell of a lot more than that, if at all, imo.
  21. They can afford to spend that cash and wages. If Casemiro was a dud or declines rapidly, no doubt they’ll go and spend another £60m on a Fred again. We can’t do the same right now- we have to get the right signings for the money and wages. I just don’t think Jorginho is it, and don’t think media reports are correct. Might be wrong, but just can’t see him fitting here. Who knows though- guess we’ll see.
  22. Wonder which rock he’s been hiding under. Can’t be long until the first negative piece gets written.
