Loyalty for playing the last 6 months and wanting one last contract? Righto.
-
You don’t see why we would appeal over Brentford?
-
Tarkowski isn’t sound. Nor is Winks. Both average plodders.
-
Everton trying to buy Winks. Such a Lampard/Everton overpriced and over rated transfer.
-
You’re likely to be able to get a ticket via membership, but only a single, and obviously some games are more in demand than others. Good luck when you go!
-
Membership would assist in trying to obtain a ticket, but it’s certainly no guarantee.
-
Aye- the players got quite attached to the wheelie bins and paddling pools. When they come back from their holidays and see the state of the place, I’m sure a fair few will be refusing to play and demanding transfers.
-
He’s 36 and currently on £153kpw. Not a chance.
-
Just looked- Vuckic has never moved for a transfer fee other than to us (£100k in 2009). Every move he’s made has been on a free or loan. Think he’s moving to Rijeka permanently this summer- he’s been there on loan from Zaragoza.

His mental health issues have been well documented. https://www.skysports.com/amp/football/news/11095/12620002/dominic-calvert-lewin-opens-up-on-mental-health-struggles-and-says-talking-saved-my-life

Obviously. But as the Milan fan has stated during his in depth appraisal of his own club, Paqueta didn’t flop there.
-
Shearer was linked to both Celtic and Liverpool during his latter years. Iirc, at a lower price (£10m rings a bell?) than the £15m we paid for him.
-
Just a difference in opinion I think. If peak Messi wasn’t picked for a team because Bruce was manager and preferred Elmo instead, I’d never say he flopped personally, but I respect your opinion.
-
If a manager doesn’t pick a player because he doesn’t get on with him, or doesn’t fit his style, you can’t simply say that player has flopped. Gullit picked Robinson over Shearer. You would say Shearer flopped?
-
Or the club needs the money, or needs to move the player on as he doesn’t fit in with the current ethos or style. Just because he was sold for less doesn’t make him a flop man.
-
Nah, read what the Milan fan said about the club at the time- he didn’t flop at all. Playing time determined his fee.
-
And who didn’t ‘flop’ in Serie A according to our resident Milan fan, and who also is a regular Brazilian starter who has the mental strength to play abroad in two of the top leagues in his early 20’s. DCL had a mental breakdown this past season under the ‘pressure’ of the Everton fans- God help him if he ends up with us.
-
Got dropped by Italy because of off field discipline issues and not turning up for training on time etc. Same problems at Everton. He’s played 42 times for Juve this year and scored 6- hardly ‘never used him’. Juve bought Vlahovic because they couldn’t rely on Kean, either to score the goals, or to rectify his attitude.

The Athletic have said we are: “The other uncertainty is Oleksandr Zinchenko, who has attracted interest from Everton, Newcastle and, reportedly, Arsenal, with those clubs seeing him as an option in midfield, which is where he plays for Ukraine.” https://theathletic.com/3341738/2022/06/02/manchester-city-transfer-news-sterling/ edit- plus it was reported a few times that we were after him in January too. https://www.mailplus.co.uk/edition/sport/football/premier-league/129057/oleksandr-zinchenko-a-transfer-target-for-newcastle-united-as-man-city

31 in 2 days and had a few muscle injuries over the last few years. Would be a big outlay for diminishing returns.

Yellow sticker on Sky sports now re: personal terms

Pope is better in some aspects, but just not significantly enough to justify spending cash on. As the backup, or moving one of them (between him and Dubs) to the no.2 spot, then fair enough, but I don’t think he offers enough of an improvement in all honesty. Both are mid table/average. At some point, we’d have to spend again to genuinely replace, and there’s no reason to not do that this summer if we feel like it needs doing.

Worldy in the making, who at aged 20 has only played for Shamrock, Rochdale and Portsmouth, and is being sold on by Man City? He’s got potential, yes, but hardly the ‘hottest young keeper in Europe’.
