dunno to me this seems a bit of a silly thing to base your interest in a club on, sure it can help but ultimately managers come managers go especially in this day and age of football no sense getting that attached to one. Exactly, seems a very odd stance to be taking. Obviously with the state that the club is in, Rafa is the best manager we could currently attract by a million miles. But he isn’t going to be here forever, and potential owners should have a vision far beyond his time here. Very unusual, but could well be BS.

You wouldn’t pay the asking price on an £80,000 Bentley if you were told that it might break down in 6 months months and need substantial work. Even if you were filthy rich, you’d want assurances or a more reasonable price. Cars are different though, they always lose valuation and will always need repairs at some point. A football club can increase in value as well as lose it.

This is how I see it. I do believe he wants to sell, but that is different to the ‘need’ to sell. He has stated his price and PCP won’t match it.
