They have both been at the club for years, both have fought back from serious illness and injuries. They deserve so more respect from the club, but sadly this does not really surprise me.
I would rather we hired someone with some experience in management in a top European league. When you hire somebody who hasn't you are taking nothing more than a punt imo. Viera was a class player but fuck knows if he would be any good after only managing at under 21 level.
If he isn't actually guilty of corruption itself, he will at least be guilty of 'turning a blind eye' to it all, whatever the legal term would be for that would be. No way he didn't have any idea of suspicious activity that was happening below him.
As long as we get the right man in, before they return to pre season training I'm okay with that. But tbh, it won't happen imo. You can never second guess who it will be, sadly we just have to #wait and see.
