I’m pretty sure he said in an interview he was distracted by the Man U links or the uncertainty around his future. I could be wrong mind.

The decision to try and put him in a 10 role seemed madness to me. All of those highlights are of him playing deeper and he looked a genuine talent there under Rafa. That said some of the responsibility is at Sean’s door though. I think he got ahead of himself a little with the Man U links and publicly hiring agents. He’s put in some truly awful performances this season albeit during Bruce’s 44facking2 spell.

Fraser coming in for either ASM or Almiron isn’t too much of a downgrade. The issue is the other change for me. He absolutely has to put another attacking player in that place. If he goes with either Murphy or Anderson I think we’ll be alright. West Brom are absolutely shit and I still think we’ll have enough to beat them if he sticks to the same system and goes like for like. I’ve got a feeling he’ll revert to a more defensive setup though and get Hendrick in. If that happens we’re absolutely done for.
