Oh, that really would be one of the best things to happen ever (if not in recent times). Unlikely it'll happen this season but if Dalglish is still manager next season, then who knows? A man can dream. Not finished 9th or lower since 54/55. Would p*ss myself with laughter if The King steered them to their worst league finish in almost 60 years. Strange that it's all about the trophies. As every manager in nearly 60 years has managed to bring a steady flow of trophies to Anfield without them risking dropping as low as they could. Why is that strange? Is 6th place in the league really better than 12th plus both domestic cups and an EL place? Seriously, in ten years' time, would you rather really point back at 2012 and say, "we qualified for the CL!" or "we won two cups!"? Once you're out of the Euro places, who gives a f*** whether you're 6th or 16th? It's one thing if you end up there every season, but in terms of a single season, silverware wins. im sure birmingham fans will look back in ten years time with great fondness. ah remember that time we won the carling cup beating teams that played their reserves and then we got relegated. awesome times.

the City game at SJP has got draw written all over it. a result that will be good for neither team. that is if, a big if, we get all 3 points vs Chelsea beforehand.

cant be true can it? not only is that dirty scally filthy at challenges, his uncontrollable foul mouth of his should warrant himself a card every other game.

Bollocks. He just didnt get on the ball enough. Gave the ball away a couple of times but before he got subbed he was fantastic in the second half. to be fair i didnt see too much of the 2nd half, had to get ready and go to work, but sadly i had to endure all of the first half.

decent, not sure about the black thorns sticking out the stripes, its not bad a bit different i guess, could live with it.

he was out of sorts at wigan, then again so was everyone else. we need him at his best if we going to get something vs chelsea.

surreal looks like one of those tv adverts when they computer generate a fan onto the pitch.

lack of footballing talent maybe, but i wouldn't say he has no heart. he looks to me like he gives 100 percent all the time, but when you're a limited footballer that may not be enough sometimes. This might be the only time I've seen someone say Simpson gives 100%. The amount of hiding he does from the ball should, on it's own, knock that down to about 25%. ive rarely seen simpson hide from defensive responsibilities, in the oppositions half, yes he does hide as he often rather loft a ball or whack it away rather than compose himself and pass to a team mate. Given the fundamental difficulty involved in hiding from both attacking and defensive responsibilites, you're basically giving a well-paid footballer credit for not simply walking off the field of play. ok i've replied, happy now troll? lol

Lets be honest here, what happened? did the players simply did not turn up as they thought wigan would not be too tough of an opposition, we underestimated them in that respect. Or, a whole fortnight of the media has been talking us up about how well we've done, great transfers, even mumblings of Pardew for England, we are heading for champions league etc, daily mail full page spreads of our facilities, Ashley's new windfall of money. Just positive waves that our club has not ever had since the Entertainer's days. The players got took in by all the hype? or did we realise how close we actually were to achieving champions league status, that they simply choked at Wigan?

wish shola would play more now, we can go back to posting pictures of his bike and apples

he pretty much fielded a team that most of us would have done. the players just didn't turn up. we went with 4-2-3-1 and got 2 buried past us, he changed the formation to a back three with wing backs, got 2 buried past us again, the opposition were just that much better, and us being so shyte was a shocking combination today. not sure what pardew could have done different.

give the guy a break , any player in his position would have looked ordinary today, Wigan were tremendous, let's not forget that. their movement killed us , wasnt just simpson who got taken apart. the whole team looked lethargic and shell shocked. who wouldn't be, wigan were top class today make no mistake about that, should give them more credit and respect.
