Now he's cribbing our defence and our shape from Rafa what has Bruce actually offered to the team? If he's just about improving and working with players which players have actually improved? Matty Longstaff may be only thing he can claim and even that is dubious...

Also I get annoyed about the Mitrovic hangup, he clearly had a lot of talent in some ways but he did get opportunities under Rafa in the championship when Gayle was injured, and couldn't hit a barn door. Rafa was entitled to ditch him if as suspected his attitude behind the scenes wasn't up to his standards and he didn't trust him.

With a proper coach he could be good, seen glimpses and certainly would expect most forwards to be struggling in this team but not sure Bruce is ever going to make any player better so this is probably it.

So lacking in confidence think should be protected and used a sub more till he scores a few. More likely to be thrown under the bus by Bruce repeatedly though

Except VAR has intervened on plenty of very marginal calls too. It's not consistently applied.

I've gone from thinking maybe it'll shake itself out and work properly given time to thinking VAR is a disaster, just does not stop controversy at all. It really has to be cut back so it's only stopping howlers imo, interruptions for nothings and super pedantic decisions minutes after the incident aren't doing it any favours and doesn't seem to always reach right conclusion anyway.
