Nasri was totally invisible all match, or was that just me being blind? Arfa looked class on the ball, and should have scored. He'll get a goal if he plays like that again sooner rather than later
-
Raylor definately deserved, horror game. Jonas did his usual thing defensively but ran into a lot of blind alleys and was pretty unimpressive to be honest, not his finest hour, however has to be said covering for Raylor made extra difficult
-
I'm watching, reasonably entertaining but lacking in shots really, just seem to run at each other really fast, it breaks down and then they run at the other. Not a regular watcher of the Bundesliga, is this usual? Seems very fast but also from a time before possession footy

Knock Knock Who's there?
-
Tiote in for Guthrie and Santon in for Raylor, otherwise unchanged for me. Think we have a good chance too, better than against Man City, we should be able to boss the midfield to be honest.
-
I think he'd work better off best, but very hard to say Ba doesn't deserve to start, and probably would have to give him preference, ultimately may just be dependant on the game jiggle which 2 are playing
-
Gah frustrating to be beaten by mistakes rather than outplayed, which we often were, but then a lot of the second half we were very strong. Ben Arfa perhaps should have scored but unlucky to just hit post, and then great save to cut out the guthrie cross. Ba forgot his lucky gloves or something. Can't help thinking with Tiote may have got something from the game. Oh well, onwards, in no way a blow to the campaign as noone will have counted on points there. Krul 6 Simpson 5 Taylor 7 Collocini 7 Raylor 1 Sammy 4 Guthrie 6 Cabaye 6 Jonas 4 Ba 4 Ben Arfa 7 Loven 1 Perch 5 Gosling 7

Need some Subs now, we're getting tired.
-
Oh well, just as we were looking good is the frustrating part. Still plenty of positives
-
Did everything right, Hart was great there
-
Just deleted a post thought maybe a bit harsh on Sammy, think he's been quiet but probably not his fault. Cabaye's looked good, Ben Arfa finally looking good and not just potentially good now
-
Absolutely, I thought he was going to shoot but then did lovely pass to Ba, in retrospect should have shot since Ba failed, but imo was a fair decision since the set up for Ba was absolutely inch perfect
-
So heroic comeback? Pardew does a good half time talk
-
2-0's harsh, 1-0 is fair, but you know City will take their chances.
-
Yeah, hopefully this will convince Pardew to push Santon in team, sad he's gone backwards though.
-
It's a measure of how far we've come that I'm rather disappointed to be losing to Man City Oh well really, not one I had chalked up for any points
-
Great Ben Arfa pass, more of that please.

Sepp Blatter: Racism can all be forgotten in a handshake
Tiresias replied to LooneyToonArmy's topic in Football
The guy in charge of football is a racist corrupt idiot, I think it's a fairly big story, though there is a lot of mock outrage going on, FIFA has become everything that's wrong with football, corporate money grabbing and unfriendly. While Blatter is probably guilty in this case of being a bit behind the times rather than an 'outright racist' (there#s not really a proper term) at all, all the negative publicity is good for convincing people what a piece of work he is. -
