  1. that should be disallowed, not from a long throw
  2. The weakness (and not a fatal weakness) of playing players on form even when theoretically better players available is that when the form goes you have to suddenly bring in the other player without being bedded into the team, and this is a bad time to do that, so it's a dilemma. I reckon bring in Santon though, we need to be strong on flanks, can';t afford a repeat of that performance.
  3. RVP is one of those players who if one on one with keeper just never messes up...
  4. i should stop defending players sometimes, i kept saying mertesacker got too much schtick then he does something like that
  5. bleh hope we stubbonly refuse, but i suspect we'll lose him

Contact with arm to Micah Richards back. Ok doesn't absolutely have to but letter of law it;s a foul

hmm less sure think it was very soft but micah dived because of HBA lightly proding him in the back...very harsh of course but arguably ref has to give it

Richards went down for the penalty but HBA had jumped all over him, HBA had moved back to cover for Saylor being off field and so was putting in a defensive shift...shows why he's not asked to do that much. Silly silly cockup, hopefully he'll learn from it

it seems plenty can by endless parade of people saying can you not criticise HBA... This was his first 'good' performance I think this season, the others had promise but not much else.
  11. The problem with Man United, moreso than City who just steamroller, is that Hernandez is going to bury whatever chance they get, they seem the kind of side at the moment who are going to score no matter the run of play sometimes, and not maybe put the game to bed, but they have that threat. We need to take our chances better than against City. Tiote should help Cabaye get further forward and provide better distribution, and maybe get something onto a head better.

    Teams around us...

Undecided over Spurs or Arsenal winning that little derby for position, think Arsenal with Wilshere will be rather improved. Van Persie's usual injury will be a disaster, but could bolster in January. Spurs I can never quite rate...they're attacking and fun to watch so by rights should back them up, but have this nagging doubt they'll have a terrible run at some point.

    Sunderland...

Fulham are such an odd team, I never know if they're really rather good, or just boring shit...shame they couldn't beat the mackems though, that's pretty poor of them.
  14. As ever got it right, glad not whining over penalties, even if second one was a bit soft, always not sure what it achieves anyway

    Pressure off?

Exactly, wonder if the international break stripped some of Raylor's confidence. We didn't put away our chances though, and City are going to put away theirs, right attitude for the team right now is to shrug and more on, and will be for this tough patch, we could lose the next 2 as well (though I very much think we shouldn't necessarily at all) and we need to be able to take that mental hit.
  16. Similar strategy as against Stoke for me, recognise that most their threat comes down the wings, so try and clog them up as much as possible. Their central midfield is not up to too much and we should go right for their defence without showing too much respect.
  17. Can't see Wenger spending that amount of cash on a single player like. Even though he would be great for them. Nee chance will he spend £30m on anyone. Doubt it too, but theoretically can afford it even if loathe to, and would be a pretty strong replacement for Fabergas. Wonder if there's been a bit of an attitude change at Arsenal that they haven't got the talent to train up and if they want to compete for title going to have to spend a bit now before fair play comes in. Doubt they'll get him though, they'll put in a very good bid then Barca or United will jump in and snap him up

I do like Nasri a lot as a player but he seems to want to drop deep and be a playmaker sort of player which he's not up to, always convinced me more as a goal scoring inside winger.

    Alan Pardew

Tactics were fine, can't really predict when Raylor will fail, even though it was an inevitability at some point. Weren't overly defensive, were positive at times. Not sure what he could have done
  20. Very generous, thought he was lacking defensively massively personally. Maybe fair, dunno how much he was more exposed due to Raylor having a woeful game / quality of opposition
