Thing is i don't think he can though, Neymar has scored 105 goals for Barca where as Bale has scored 125 in his career. Just don't think he has the level of explosive goalscoring in him, that's fine though.

Technically yes and the wings, but i'm not sure about his success upfront personally in England. Maybe i'm wrong and Rafa gets him and moulds him into some class striker. Even so hope it happens, some quality in forward areas whether as a CF or deeper would be great.

I badly hope the Correa thing happens ( as unlikely as it may seem) desperately in need of some skill and pace upfront. Barely heard of him, don't watch much of La Liga. Differences between him and Lucas Perez? He's a typical Argentine forward really. Good dribbler, pacey and quite strong for his size. He's still quite small though so i'm not sure he could play upfront by himself, but behind Gayle he'd be class IMO. Like i said though i doubt it would happen, but i'm gonna dream.

This is why someone to play inbetween two of them and a striker is so important, Shelvey and Merino would be amazingly effective on paper if they had some skilled AM in front of them to support them and the CF.

Depends on the player really, as Haidara has already proven by turning down St Etienne. We can't do much about that short of buying him out of his contract which obviously Ashley won't do.

I reckon Rafa would be ok with keeping Diame around for another year in the squad. The rest though aye, need to GTFO sharpish. Problem is not only are their shite but will be kept around doing nothing but picking up wages every week. It will be a good day when they are all gone.

We have 2 strikers though. 2. It's not about that, it's that we have about 5 players that won't be playing that need to be moved. Most clubs go through this all the time, except they actually succeed in moving them on. We don't need to move players because we lack funds, we need to move them because there's a 25 man squad and we have 30+ players atm.

If Rafa wants to use Shelvey like this i'm a bit surprised he hasn't pursued an all action midfielder in the Kante mould( obviously nowhere near as good) but maybe the funds weren't there for such a move.

As someone who watches American sports, i'm against Salary caps mainly because the money would go to the owners instead of the players. However if possible i wouldn't be against some sort of cap on transfer fees. The big clubs would never agree to it though.

I'd be shocked if they improved themselves given their transfers recently mind Aye their decision making (Neymar and Suarez aside) had been terrible for like 5 years. I wouldn't trust them to sign the right players personally.

about 45million was spent pre-season. Ashley's main issue is suspect/clinically insane managerial appointments. Aye and without that spending we would have been certainties for the drop, Ashley only spends when he's investment is in danger. I don't see that changing and i really don't see why people think any different.

That's because we were going down otherwise, see really no evidence to suggest we'll suddenly start spending cash if i'm honest.

Seen this a lot, i do struggle to understand why people think it will be any different next year. The owner is still Mike Ashley.
