De Jong is a typical modern day CF he can play left, right, off the main striker and ofc as a the main striker..... I just doubt he would come here to sit on the bench ( i understand he would play alot due to rotation etc ) but he is wanted by CL clubs and clubs he would start for...... I do see a scenario where we could sign him but only if Ba leaves and only if we plan to start him alongside Ben Arfa and Cisse in a front 3.

Hazard give over man we could'nt afford to buy him the razor he desperately needs matter about sign him Also i doubt De Jong will come to be simply in the rotation..... either start him on the left as a replacement for Ba(if he leaves) or dont bother because thats the only way it happens.

Ah yep thats a good point anyway i might aswell add my thoughts on this..... Krul Debuchy Douglas Coloccini Santon Tiote Cabaye Marveaux/Jonas HBA Cisse Ba/Hoilett People like Amalfantino( sp?), Butterfield etc etc will beef up the bench and if Best leaves we will probably bring in extra striker probably from the Championship. I still think we might buy a CM but after Marveaux's performance today if he can stay fit iam not sure we desperately need one. As long as we keep the majority of our stars and strengthen the defence i'll be happy, although i hope we pass alot more through midfield rather than by passing it next season.

Yh they were never going to replace Hazard in quality as they are simply not big enough or have the cash to do so. But Martin is probably about as good as they can get, for whats its worth Joe Cole will probably leave too i wonder who will pay what ever ridiculous wages he's on....

I see alot of people have Ba rotating with Cisse and an extra winger or midfielder coming..... 1. Why? 2. Do you expect Ba to except this? Also Debuchy is a RB who started his career as a DM so he can play there.

What? do you ever see the likes of Man U get battered ( City game aside) once they go 1-0 down like we have on many times this season..... its clear we need to learn how to deal with going behind better than we do at the moment. BTW we will get more goals from midfield if we stay away from 4-4-2 as our midfielders are reduced to holding players in that system. Spot on. thats not a winning mentality, thats having a better team, if so what happened to their winning mentality this season ? we do have to work out why we collapse after going behind (personally i think it's often pardew changing things to early after conceding) but that has sod all to do with the ficticous winning mentality. Tbf thier team is alot worse ( atleast from an individual stand point ) than City and alot of their past teams and they still ran them extremely close.... infact a goal from Aguero in the 93rd minute won City the title.... Their winning mentality is what got them so many points this season, so i dont believe its through having a better team because i dont believe their team is that great at least from an individual standpoint.... We could definitely improve our mentality from losing situations... you dont just go from 1-0 to 3-0 in a matter of 15 mins like we have on occasion this season if there isnt an issue..... Look its been a fantastic season but there are areas for improvement and i think fighting back from losing situations is one of those areas for improvement and thats all down to mentality.

Yh Passing, better winning mentality and make better use of set pieces for me too....... the rest of it can be improved with some signings in key areas.
