I dont think the size of the squad is necessarily the issue.... more so the squad has too many "fillers" and not enough quality..... when you look at the numbers its a big squad just full of players who are not really up to the job. And seeing as midfield is the topic of discussion at the moment i do genuinely believe if Marveaux can prove his fitness and Vuckic and Abeid giving more minutes and signings like Butterfield and Amalfantino i dont think think we need anything more in midfield.....

Not just Hatem but alot of people if you look at the team that started the season..... Krul Simpson Saylor Coloccini Raylor Obertan Cabaye Tiote Jonas Best Ba It's a totally different team now and if some of the rumours signings are true then it changes even more..... We have every right to be excited about the summer and the new season.

Personally think if we sign Butterfield, Amalfantino(sp?), give players like Vuckic and Abeid more minutes and believe Marveaux can stay fit i dont think we will buy another midfielder..... Providing everyone stays i expect RB, CB, Butterfield, Amalfantino and a young versatile forward.... if Best were to leave id expect him to be replaced and same goes for anyone else that leaves. And i'll be happy with that, i also think Pardew will consider Marveaux a new signing ( if he can prove fitness in pre-season)

Id argue not just what Newcastle need but England need aswell..... anyway he sounds promising id like to see us sign him if he's as promising as the Barnsley fans say.

He's the best manager they'll have for a long, long time imo, and I don't rate him particularly highly. Me neither and it just shows how shit they are but i do agree with the sentiment going on here that O'Neill while is the best manager Sunderland have had in a very long time i dont believe he's good enough to take Liverpool back into the top 4..... Plus he would sign a load of overrated british crap to go along with the abundance of it already

We would'nt buy Cissokho and Debuchy either its one or the other again because Santon has got his place in the team nailed on and we have other targets too.... and i prefer Debuchy by a landslide.... By that same template..... Debuchy, De Jong, Douglas and a young forward that can play wide and upfront ( Sorta like Lovenkrands but alot younger and a lot better)..... Any other signings will be young squad fillers like Amalfantino IMO or for the youth team.

We should be looking to sign him regardless of whether Ba stays or goes. We wont be able to keep De Jong and Ba.... firstly neither will accept a bench role and secondly we cant afford to have Ba or De Jong on the bench its one or the other..... I personally would like to see Ba stay ( obviously) but if he were to leave id love to see De Jong as his replacement.

Oh yeah because Valencia's 6 leagues ( 2 of them coming under Rafa) and 7 Copa Del Rey's is a riveting success compared to our 5 leagues and 6 FA Cups is'nt it
